This is a 3 course dine-in experience. There is a small list to choose from for each of the 3 courses. To start, yellowfin tuna tartare and grilled octopus were both very flavorful, I had no textural issues with the octopus. For the 2nd course the ribeye with beef croquet and the barramundi filet were also both very good and flavorful. I could eat a whole bowl of the broccolini/mushroom veggies that came with the beef. So delicious. Citrus (orange) pound cake and the chocolate ganache one with green tea dust were also both very good. Drinks, if you imbibe, were unique and well balanced. Valet parking was easy and from the time you walk into the 1st floor lobby to the time you leave, going to 71Above is a lovely experience.

Took my husband for his Birthday dinner here. To say, Carl B was outstanding! His level of hospitality and attention was above and beyond. He explained in great detail about the 3 course meal and what pairs great with it. We loved every second of it. The food was delicious, the bread and butter was so good. We definitely recommend. Make reservations, we gor window seats and the view was magnificent.

The restaurant is of decent quality, but it’s hard to call it truly iconic. There is definitely room for improvement in terms of service: crumbs were not cleared from the table, utensils were brought late, and the food arrived before the cutlery. The octopus was somewhat tough — I would have preferred a more delicate preparation. The ribeye steak was quite ordinary, nothing special. The atmosphere is pleasant overall. It’s worth visiting once, especially if you’re a tourist in Los Angeles.

My son and I were in town for the IMTA convention and this restaurant was in walking distance from our hotel. So I made last minute reservations on Open Table and am so glad I did! From the moment we arrived, we felt taken care of. We were greeted in the lobby to confirm our reservation. Then escorted through two separate elevators to reach the restaurant which towered over most buildings. Initially there weren’t any window tables available which was fine with us. We were grateful just to have a last minute reservation. However a window seat opened up halfway through our experience and our server moved us to the table without us even asking. He was always making sure we were having the best experience possible. The service, view and restaurant ambiance were impeccable as was the food! My son and I had the three course experience but also added additional deserts and apps just to try more things. For the first course my son chose the tuna ….which he said was incredibly fresh and the best thing that has ever touched his pallet 😂. I had the pasta and it was incredible. Perfect balance of flavors. It was the best pasta I’ve had in a long time. Then we also shared the octopus which was beautifully plated And delicious but we liked the other two better. Then I had the barramundi and my son had the New York strip. Both were excellent. For dessert, we struggled to decide…. We ended up trying the strawberry, Blueberry, Chocolate dessert, As well as the cheese plate. All incredibly different and good for different reasons. Do you want something light, I would go with a strawberry, Unique flavors blueberry or the chocolate. Overall, it was a very wonderful experience and the best restaurant of our whole trip! Well, done!

Great restaurant on top of Bank of America Building in downtown LA. It is very fancy and chic. You need to book ahead of time. They are very communicative leading up to the day and time of reservation to make sure you are ready for the reservation. I thought that was a great touch on their part. They do not guarantee window tables at all. However when we went they give us a window table. The menu is a 3 course menu. You pick one item for each course. The service is fast and actually the portions are reasonable. We felt full after the 3 courses. The staff is super friendly and nice. It’s a perfect location for a special occasion or date night. They have valet parking or you can find parking in any of the public Parkings in downtown LA. Highly recommend them.
