Fun, modern and clean room. Only issue was the hotel location. Even on 4th floor with sound machine up loud, you can hear numerous sirens (police/ambulance) and all big vehicles driving by during the night. I’m not big on open bathroom concept - no door to close off shower from bedroom. You cannot get showered/ready without waking whoever is sleeping. Bathroom wallpaper was sooo cool! 😎

Great location. The front desk agent who checked us in was so friendly! Room is clean. We got the river view room, very pretty! The only drawback would be, easy to hear noise from the street. But overall very good experience staying here!

The Aloft Providence is a solid hotel in Providence, Rhode Island. We stayed here last July during the Coldplay tour. This hotel has a sleek and modern feel with good amenities. Our rooms were upgraded to suites during our stay. The bathroom features a double sink and a walk in step up shower. Overall there is a lot a space, so not much complaints there. There are a few downsides with this property. The parking/valet area is very small and often is chaotic to enter with impeding traffic on the nearby street. Also, the chairs in the room are kind of small and are a bit uncomfortable, so I would say they could use an upgrade in that area. Other than that this was a quality stay.

Nice comfy beds, clean rooms, overall nice place. Good restaurants in walking distance. A couple things to note: some of the rooms have a shower that's basically open you the rest of the room. So if you're not staying with a romantic partner, it could make for an awkward showering experience. We had a room facing the road. The traffic noise (revving engines, police sirens) was noticable into the early morning hours. They do provide a white noise machine to help drown out some of that, which was useful! Staff were friendly and chatty and the valet was quick.

I am very mold sensitive so I always rate with that in mind. Aloft passes the bar, quite well but they have these old school a/c that DO need to be serived. They are starting to collect dust and then in the summer months with the a/c going on and off, water forms and then mold forms. Please please please service your a/c and windows where there is dust to prevent mold from growing. Otherwise, it is a nice, clean and conveniently located hotel. I also like that it has an unscented lobby (Marriott' often are scented now, which is .... gross).
