Amalfi Cucina and Mercato is the best Italian restaurant in downtown Atlanta. I loved the wood‑fired pizza and setting made it perfect for a pre-World Cup dinner. The staff were attentive and. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Italian food near the Georgia World Congress Center.

I had a wonderful dinner at Amalfi Cucina and Mercato. The calamari was some of the best downtown atlanta I’ve ever tasted, and the pasta was perfectly al dente. Becky was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere is upscale yet relaxed, perfect for a romantic Italian dinner downtown atlanta. Highly recommend this Italian restaurant downtown atlanta!

We really wanted to love this place. The restaurant is beautiful and has a lot of potential, which honestly makes this review even more disappointing to write. We waited about 1 hour and 30 minutes, and it seems like reservations are pretty much mandatory. That would be totally fine if the overall experience matched the wait — but sadly, it didn’t. The pizzas were okay. Not authentic Italian style, and nothing particularly memorable, but decent enough. The pasta, though, was very disappointing. It was extremely overcooked — to the point that it probably should have been sent back. We decided not to, just to avoid creating an awkward situation, but it really wasn’t enjoyable. The service didn’t help. The waiter seemed very rushed and nervous. Before we even finished eating, he was already clearing plates. It felt like we were being hurried out rather than welcomed to relax and enjoy our meal. It’s truly a shame because the space itself is lovely and the concept has great potential. We just wish the food and service matched the atmosphere. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we wouldn’t go back.

Really enjoyed our dinner. The calamari was wonderful and fresh. The tiramisu was our favorite. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing and elevated the dinner. Would recommend the chicken piccata and kids spaghetti.

It was good, but not great. The prices were fair for what was being offered in the city and the inside was nice clean and pretty. They have a beautiful entrance coming into the building perfect for IG photoshoots. Service was ok although it was pretty dead and they seemed bothered to sit us at the bar for dinner around 6pm. Regarding the food. We started with the meatballs and they were good and well made but I wish they had a good crust on them, sauce was watery. Pizza was a good neopolitian style but same watery sauce so the uncarriage was completely soaked and a sloppy mess. Calzone was again sauce watery and average tasting but oddly came with a different more thick sauce as well.
