The place was very cute and cozy. The wait time to be seated was about 5 minutes. The crab cakes was so meaty and delicious I also ordered the shrimp and grits which was ok the smoky greens gave it a weird taste to me. The chicken biscuit was flavorful. The best thing was that espresso banana martini and the wild berry vodka mimosa was also good

My experience was very unfortunate. It could have been a great experience, given we had a great waitress. Outside of that, very unfortunate. The hostess barely greeted us when we arrived with a booked reservation. She never acknowledged us directly. She looked at her computer screen while talking to us. She made us feel as if she was doing us a favor by speaking to us. To make matters worse, She then gave us the worse table in the restaurant. The table was under the stairs, closed in, and low overhead clearance. If you are taller then 5'2 you would hit your head standing up from your seat. After we declined the table, we given a decent table, despite the restaurant being half filled. Interesting how no other customers were seated nor offered the worse table in the restaurant. The appetizers we ordered came out in two minutes. Good right? Wrong!!! They were warm at best. Obviously hot or freshly cooked food is not the primary concern. Sadly the entree were the same; warm at best.we ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes, Chicken and Biscuits, and Shrimp and Grits. All of which was just ok. Overall, the best thing about our experience was the waitress at our table. Needless to say, this place is not on our registry for a revisit.

If you’re ever in Savannah, you have to check out B. Matthews for breakfast. This place quickly became our favorite—we ended up dining here three times during our trip because we loved it that much! The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful—quaint, cozy, and full of charm. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, making every visit feel welcoming and relaxed. The food did not disappoint either. My son couldn’t get enough of the French toast, and the biscuits were some of the best we’ve ever had—fresh, warm, and incredibly delicious. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in town. We’ll definitely be back!

Wow!!! You can't get a better experience!!! The quality of their food is outstanding!!! Our dinner was so good we had to go back for breakfast! They know what they're doing with layering of flavors and presentation. The reality is the you do not want to miss this experience! Cocktails on point as well Our server that I asked his name about five times and I cannot remember was so warm-hearted and easy to talk to. His name started with an E and he was from Russia. If I ever remember. I'm going to update this so you can make sure to ask for him!

Very popular, but not sure I understand the hype. Maybe my expectations were too high? Eloquent and quaint atmosphere. Shrimp N Grits 🍤- 7/10: small shrimp, grits we a bit gummy, sauce had a great taste. Double rye drink special - 10/10: fab! Jalapeño Bacon Burger 🌶- 7/10: cooked medium perfectly, bun was fresh. Flavors just didn't pop. Collards: 7/10 - cooked al'dente. Decent flavor Drop Biscuits - very popular, but dry. Berry compote was nice. Tart and fresh. No military discount offered. Don't forget to leave me a ❤️! #ShrimpandGrits, #SouthernEats
