We went to dinner before a show at the Saenger. The atmosphere was busy but happy. The bus person quickly turned over tables. The food had perfect portion sizes. Everything was so flavorful. We will make Besame our new go to dinner spot when seeing a show.

Service was fantastic and the atmosphere is great. Our food was taking longer than it should have and they gave us a complimentary guacamole. Cocktails 10/10 and reasonably priced. Entrees on the other hand vastly under seasoned and over cooked. I got the Shrimp Mofongo. It wasn't hot, not spicy at all and it was supposed to be jerk seasoned shrimp and veggies. The plantain mash was SERIOUSLY under salted. Our entrees were waiting on my husband's Fish & Grits. The grits we 12/10 delicious. The fish was so overcooked and rubbery. My shrimp was crazy over cooked too. Neither of us finished our entrees and tabbed out to go get something somewhere else. The Peruvian Ceviche and Guacamole we had were fantastic. Maybe stick with the tapas if you go.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Besamé was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was beautiful, welcoming, and full of charm. One of the ladies came over and took the time to personally explain the menu to us, which made the experience feel so special and appreciated. You can tell they truly care about their guests. The food was incredible! Every dish was presented beautifully, but it wasn’t just pretty to look at—it was SO freaking good! Every bite was packed with flavor, and we kept saying how impressed we were throughout the meal. Great service, amazing food, and a wonderful atmosphere. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in New Orleans!

Walked past this place a hundred times and finally went in. Should've done it months ago. Food was proper good, staff didn't hover, and the bill didn't make me wince. We took our time, no one rushed us. Already telling people. That's the highest compliment I give a restaurant.
