I stayed at the Cambria Navy Yard for business travel with two student groups in June 2026. The hotel staff were awesome! I want to especially shout out valet Roland Howard, who single handedly unloaded all the bags for our 4 tour buses! At the front desk, Colby, Nya and Alex were on point helping to service all the needs of our students. From room keys, lock outs, concessions and towels, they took great care of us with smiles at all times. The restaurant servers were also helpful and attentive. Especially David! Looking forward to my next visit! Doug Coleman

I’ve really enjoyed my stay at the Cambria overall. I’d like to give a special shoutout to Niya for her outstanding customer service and professionalism—she truly made a positive impact on my experience. The valet team has also been consistently helpful and efficient though I do wish there was a charging station for EV owners, and I appreciate the reliability of the room service. The bartenders, Pope and Alexis, are excellent hosts and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. One suggestion for improvement would be to offer rooftop access or host events that cater to extended-stay guests, specifically service member and their guest, which would enhance the overall experience. Additionally, the pricing for snacks and microwaveable items is a bit on the higher side. Overall, a great stay with a few opportunities to make it even better.

Horrible horrible experience. I never leave reviews, but being basically called a liar from the front office manager has me steaming. We have been staying here consistently for the last 2/3 years any time we come to DC. We decided to stay here again for my birthday for a couple of days. Yesterday at around 9 pm when we returned from dinner, we had security banging on our door saying that we were smoking/vaping in the room. (Neither of us vape) we invited security in and told him if he wanted to check and he declined. This made us feel unwanted and uneasy the rest of our stay.We went up to the front desk to clear up the issue. They told us to speak to a manager in the morning. We went to the front desk again this morning to resolve the issue and let them know about what happened. We spoke with Alex Maldonado, the front office manager and he couldn’t have handled it any more poorly. We informed him that neither of us vape and that the smoke sensors were giving a false report. He told me “yeah everyone tries to say that.” He stated that the sensors do pick up aerosol sprays, flat irons, etc. I let him know that I did use a hot hair dryer curler that’s meant to do blow outs for hair for a while while getting ready for breakfast, and that that could’ve been the issue (it has set the smoke detector off in my house before) I tried explaining that to him and we basically had a conversation that summed up to me being a liar. Now they want us to pay a $250 or something fee for something THAT WE DID NOT DO. Being labeled a liar on top of that has made my blood boil. Do not do not come here. They want to charge you bogus vaping fees and the manager is absolutely no help. We’ll continue to dispute the charge, but had to warn everyone. This used to always be our choice of hotel whenever we’re in DC and we used to recommend it to everyone, now we’ve got to circle back to everybody and let them know to never choose this hotel. We will never come back. Thanks Cambria DC for ruining my birthday.

No wifi which has caused a major issue. Staff friendly but not very helpful or eager to assist. I sense a I dont want to work attitude. It is close to National Park and Audi stadium and im here for an event that is a 5 min walk at best.

This was absolutely one of the worst stays of my life. This feeling also also shared with most of our group of 10 people. There were some attentive people, like Colby Blodgett, the front desk supervisor. But the rest of the experience was so tainted by lack of training and common sense, that it ruined the experience. For starters, on our first morning as we go downstairs for breakfast we find out the restaurant is closed for a private event until well past the time we needed to leave for our first tour of the city. The closest thing to us was 15 minutes away. No breakfast for the group that day. Second day the same thing happened. We understand these things happen, but they should have warned us when we made the reservation or at least when we checked in. On the third day I receive a notification on my phone that the hotel was charging me $250. When I went to the front desk they inform me it was for smoking in my room. No one in my family has EVER smoked anything. Instead of saying “we must have made a mistake” the front desk person kept on saying things like “we have sensors in the room” and “maybe your teenage daughter vaped.” I was getting very frustrated and infuriated that she’d default to accusing me instead of owning up to their mistake and checking if the system was faulty. I had to threaten a lawsuit and only after she spoke to the manager (a couple of hours later, as he wasn’t on duty) they removed the charge. When we were able to have breakfast after the third day, there was only ONE person serving all the tables in the restaurant and ONE person running the kitchen. When asked if we would be able to eat and leave in time for our daily tour, the server (who was always in a bad mood) replied “it depends on what you order…” One of the people in our group had multiple spiders in his room and had to raise a fuss to be switched to a different room. These are the biggest things, but there were other small things happening every day. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. Spend the extra few dollars (Hyatt in front of the White House was only $50 more) and have some peace of mind.

This is my third time being to this venue. It was for an all white event this time. There was an absolutely fabulous time. The crowd was great.Everybody was dressed to the nines , I love it! If you're ever able to go to an event , there definitely check it out , because the rooftop bar is definitely a vibe!!

The hotels location is in a perfect location for a Nationals game. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. Colby at the front desk made sure my all my questions were answered. He was very helpful and had exceptional customer service skills. Thanks Colby for making my stay at Cambria unforgettable.
