I recently visited Camillo and had a really positive experience overall — I’d rate it 4 stars. The restaurant has a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels both cozy and a bit elevated at the same time. It’s the kind of place where you can easily settle in for a relaxed dinner without feeling rushed, and it works well for both casual meals and slightly more special occasions. The food was definitely the highlight. Dishes were well-executed, with clear attention to flavor and presentation. The pasta stood out in particular — fresh, well-balanced, and comforting without being too heavy. There’s a nice sense of consistency across the menu, even if a few items felt slightly less memorable than others. Service was friendly and attentive. The staff made good recommendations and checked in at the right moments without being intrusive. The overall flow of the meal felt smooth and well-paced. The pricing feels fair for the quality, especially given the portion sizes and the overall dining experience. It’s not trying to be overly fancy, but it still delivers a solid level of quality that makes it feel worth it. The only reason it’s not a full 5 stars is that while everything is very good, there wasn’t a standout “wow” moment that really elevated it into something exceptional. Overall, Camillo is a reliable and enjoyable Italian spot with good food, a comfortable atmosphere, and consistent service. I’d definitely return again.

I’ve been coming here for about 5 years. It’s a wonderful place. The food is always excellent and the service amazing. However, I recently ordered the tagliata (steak dinner), and it just came with the steak and arugula…in the past it’s always come with mashed potatoes. I had to order them separately for an extra 7$…40$ and it only comes with arugula on the side?? It was absolutely delicious as usual, but I think it’s insane that it doesn’t come with a proper side dish. BRING BACK THE MASH!!! (I had eaten a few pieces of steak before I took the photo, it was a proper 8 ounce sirloin) I’m not sure I will order that again. I also had the salad misto as a starter, and a lemon and sage spritz. All told my bill was like 80$. To spend 70 plus dollars on a dinner out and not get a full meal with proper sides is just wild. Like I side, the food is always excellent superb and I love the staff, but I’m not sure it will stay in the rotation, at least for that meal anyway.

Loved everything about this place. It was the quintessential neighborhood date night place. The menu was not your run of the mill Italian menu. Every dish was delicious and well prepared. We loved every dish but you must have the artichokes and The abbacchio. Sorry that my photos do not do justice to the food. We went all out from cocktails to dessert but you can certainly eat well here for less money than we spent .

Long story short about the score: The food was fine, but the bartender (that was also our server) didn’t have a great attitude. Now, details. The Prosciutto and Pecorino was everything you need and more. The bread was super fresh and soft and the honeyed almonds were addictive. I got the Pappardelle oxtail and my friend got the Pollo Arrosto. Both were solid meals, but we added a pinch of salt to both, and I’m not mad about that, better to have the option to spice it up a bit. The main issue with the host was that he had some not-so-friendly attitude throughout the night, but the straw that broke the camel’s back was that when it was time to pay, we asked to split the bill, and he threw a mini tantrum about how it would be so much easier for us to pay each other, and that they have to pay “more fees” for processing more transactions, and on top of that, he said that he was “wasting his time” by having to have each of us pay. I have been a server, and I understand that charging only one card is easier, of course, but it wasn’t like he was very busy; it was a quiet Tuesday night. I was happy to have tried this place after, but I’m not sure I would be coming back after this experience. Besides that, a final note was that the restaurant itself was very charming!
