I recently had dinner at Cecconi’s DUMBO, located at 55 Water Street in Brooklyn, NY, and overall it was a fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the atmosphere. The restaurant has a sophisticated yet welcoming vibe, with elegant décor, warm lighting, and a stylish interior that perfectly complements its iconic DUMBO location. It feels upscale without being intimidating, making it a great place for date nights, family gatherings, or dinner with friends. The food was excellent from start to finish. We started with appetizers and fresh bread, which set the tone for a memorable meal. The pizza was one of the highlights of the evening. It had a perfectly blistered crust, fresh ingredients, and a wonderful balance of flavors. You can tell the pizza is made with care and attention to quality. I also ordered the steak, and it was outstanding. It was cooked exactly as requested, tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Every bite was satisfying, and the quality of the ingredients really stood out. The portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. Everything we ordered felt thoughtfully prepared and worthy of the restaurant’s reputation. Another aspect that made the experience enjoyable was the service. Our server was friendly, professional, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The staff checked on us regularly and ensured that everything was running smoothly throughout the meal. Great service can elevate a dining experience, and the team at Cecconi’s certainly delivered. The only downside of an otherwise excellent visit was the payment process. It appears the restaurant is still using an older POS system that does not efficiently handle split checks. Since our group wanted to split the bill, the server had to manually calculate each person’s share using a calculator. While the staff handled it professionally, the process took longer than expected and felt outdated compared to modern restaurant payment systems that can split bills instantly. Upgrading the POS system would greatly improve convenience for both customers and staff. Despite that minor issue, Cecconi’s DUMBO remains a restaurant I would highly recommend. The beautiful ambiance, delicious pizza, perfectly cooked steak, and exceptional service made for a memorable dining experience. I look forward to returning and enjoying another meal at this wonderful Brooklyn destination.

My friend made reservations for 6, got there about 15 earlier and they said I can’t go in until everyone is there. Mind you the place was empty as you can see by the picture. As a business owner and a foodie I was very surprised how I was treated. I travel all over the world giving my rating on food, service, etc. I definitely will never step in this restaurant for how I was treated. They lack professionalism and caring for customers. I traveled about 2 hours to go to this restaurant too. Mind you it was best for me because I enjoyed The Take Out restaurants, which I went for a pastrami.

Took my family to Cecconi’s for my birthday celebration and it did not disappoint at all. The food was absolutely amazing from start to finish. We ordered several appetizers, and the highlights were definitely the zucchini, Brussels sprouts, and tuna tartare — all so flavorful and perfectly done. For the main course, we had the salmon, branzino, and filet mignon, and every dish was cooked beautifully. Truly worth every penny. Highly recommend for a special occasion or just a really good night out 🤍✨

We were here for a Friday night dinner with our toddler. This is a nice and warm place tucked inside a building same as the time out market. This place felt effortlessly cozy the moment we walked in - perfect place for a date night. The service is attentive and the staff genuinely makes you feel welcome. We ordered whipped ricotta- truffle honey, eggplant parmigiana, a side of roasted potatoes and a wood fried pizza. Everything tasted good. Whipped ricotta is my personal favorite. Ask for free focaccia bread which tastes amazing with the whipped ricotta.

We celebrated our anniversary here and couldn’t have picked a better spot. The team was incredibly kind and attentive and they set us up with an amazing view of the Brooklyn Bridge that made the night feel even more special. The food was outstanding. The pastas were perfectly prepared, tasting truly authentic and homemade, and the salmon was cooked to perfection, moist and flavorful with no dryness at all. An unforgettable experience from start to finish.
