Situated on the 55th floor of One Vanderbilt, you start by checking in at the front desk to get swiped thru the turnstiles. The person who did this for me was lk rude, but otherwise it was uneventful - you need a reservation, obvi, as well as an ID, and a photo of you is taken for presumably the internal building security system. Then you’re sent to one of the building elevators and go up up up. Landing at 55, it’s def suave and luxe looking. Branding is projected on the floor, and hosts & staff are extremely polite. You are led to your table, to coat check, the restroom, etc. The seat is pulled back for you. That kinda place. Decor is an elevated version of what you’d see in the Centurion Lounge - leather, wood, and framed art but bougie(er). Views are jaw dropping, with the POV from the 55th floor giving you a good look at the city skyline and Rockefeller Center nearby. From the corner with the private room, you can see the Chrysler Building, and at night it is dazzling to see so close. That’s prob the highlight of the space, I got lost in watching the city like a live screensaver. If you book a reservation in the evening, you are locked into doing either the prix fixe menu ($165), or they’ll nudge nudge you to pay up for the $300+ chef’s tasting menu. Per person btw. I did feel a slight side eye for picking the $165 menu despite it being pricey still, but my host was otherwise polite. Even when I asked for tap and said I wasn’t interested in drinks lol. You have several options on the prix fixe menu, though the dessert on the chef’s tasting menu is not available. Some entrees are with a surplus only. The prix fixe menu still included a “treat from the chef” amuse bouche trio, which gave me a sense of what Boulud has in mind for this restaurant’s menu - using fruit for savory sauces, unexpected toppings, etc. The center amuse bouche, for example, had cranberry sauce that almost gave ketchup or BBQ. The one on the left was an elevated lox bagel and cream cheese bite, while the one on the right was basically a Red Lobster cheddar biscuit. After this, a show of a towel service, where a compressed hand wipe was moistened by a server. Cool party trick tbh. The came bread service - a small garlic bread bagel, and a mini baguette. The garlic bread was better. Butter was in a spiral tower which looked very elegant. Appetizer was tuna tatami. Had shaved radish on top, a strawberry vinaigrette, etc. small serving tbh - there were about six prices of tuna, but it also came with fried nori chips. Entree was the roast duck - four slices and a side I couldn’t place but was nutty and savory. I think there were also chestnuts? Yummy. Desert was the lemon tuile - which had a lovely bit of sorbet on top of the tuile, plus two rolled wafers with a matcha-like filling and a vanilla one. Onto that was poured a sour cream type sauce to cut the sweetness, along with some liquid lemon bar. Delicious. After that, petit fours were offered from a little cart. I had one of each item, and the highlight was the dark chocolate bonbon, which surprise had orange in it. Delicious. The other ones were delicate and relatively good as a way to close the meal. I thought I was underwhelmed by the food at first, but honestly the sauces on each meal are the highlights. Everything else is cooked well, with quality seeming ingredients, but the sauces and the toppings to dishes are where the artistry really shines. That strawberry vinaigrette on the tuna, or sour cream / lemon bar on the tuile really stood out to me. There’s layers of flavor in each dish for sure. And service was nice! Felt marginally stuffy but not remarkably so. In a collared shirt I felt maybe slightly overdressed. This is a fine dining restaurant tho so maybe it was just the clientele that night. Would not spend the money to go here again out of pocket, but with a Resy credit this is a good spot for sure, as prices for this prix fixe menu seem reasonable in comparison to other fine dining p

Centurion New York at One Vanderbilt is an absolute standout. The staff were beyond excellent. Warm, attentive, and genuinely polished without feeling stiff or pretentious. The food was fantastic across the board, beautifully presented and full of flavor, and the cocktails were just as impressive. Add in the stunning views and elegant atmosphere and it makes for a truly special experience. Worth it for a celebration or a memorable night out. As an AMEX centurion holder I’ll definitely be back very soon. 😉

I can for sure tell that this was one of the best dining experiences in New York. I had been looking for so long for a special place to celebrate my friend's belated birthday, and I'm so happy that we booked here. Amazing food, fresh and tasty, so nicely presented; all details were impeccable. To start, we ordered tuna tartare, carrot arancini, stracciatella and fig salad, a selection of cheese, and kale salad, and everything was delightful. Even though we were already full, we ordered mushroom pasta with cognac puree with a side of delicata squash and, of course, French fries—also super tasty. We finished our experience with a very refreshing dessert, Chestnut Mont Blanc, and if you are a huge fan of extremely sweet desserts, the chocolate eclair would be a great choice. Amazing ambiance, outstanding view, and calm music made our dining experience great. We are definitely looking forward to our next visit, probably to try their pre-fixe menu experience. Regular NY prices, 2 of us spent $500 together with tip. (They are not refreshing the table between meals, meaning not crumbing, and that is the only thing that bothers me a bit.)

Dining at Centurion New York was nothing short of a dream. The moment you step inside, it feels as if you’re tasting—just for an instant—the exhilarating, almost surreal dimension of New York itself. The atmosphere, the design, the energy… everything comes together to create an unforgettable experience. A very special recognition goes to Chef Rodrigo, whose culinary mastery elevated the evening to another level. Each dish was better than the one before it, crafted with precision, creativity, and a deep understanding of flavor. Truly remarkable. We also want to highlight Gabriel, our server, who brought a warm, familiar welcome to the table. His elegance, professionalism, and genuine attentiveness reflected the high standards of a place like this. The entire staff operated with the same level of excellence—gracious, polished, and perfectly aligned with the spirit of Centurion. This was more than a dinner; it was an experience. One that captures the magic of New York in every detail. We left deeply impressed and grateful.
