This might be a hot take, but Chichen Itza is my favorite restaurant in Mercado La Paloma. I'm so obsessed with this restaurant, and will tell anyone who will listen about how amazing the food is from this understated stall. My first bite of the tamal colado feels like pure joy. I get it almost every time I come by. Other hits include the (new?) taco arabe, tacos de pescado, and the pollo pibil. To top it all off, the staff here are all amazing!

The grilled chicken was overdone and slightly dry, but the sheer size of the plate made up for it. Sometimes, quantity can overpower quality in my reviews because I’m always so hungry. I do recommend this place, and I expect that I will be back to try other options soon. Edit: the tacos are great!
