Amazing event venue! Perfect for Great Gatsby or Old Hollywood Glam or Roaring 20s theme parties. Love the atmosphere, style, it is so romantic and luxurious. I’ve been to several weddings there and every one was incredibly beautiful! So much charm and history at this place.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Cicada, and couldn't have been happier. The space is gorgeous, and required very little extra decoration to make it superb (we didn't even do flowers!). Adelmo was very accommodating to our requests and worked well with our coordinator. The staff at Cicada was even better; The general manager Frank who ran things day-of was efficient, attentive, and hugely competent. They handled the room flip from ceremony to dinner/dancing very agilely. We actually got comments from multiple guests after the wedding about how good the service was, so the servers and bartenders were on point too. Finally, the food was delicious (which is usually not the case for weddings); almost every dish was executed very well, even the last-minute pasta that they scrambled up for me when I realized the morning-of that I had messed up some of the vegetarian meal requests. We ended up having a wonderful wedding, and everything Cicada-related about it was perfect.

Such a wonderful time here. It carries a 1920’s elegance and magic that’s not found anywhere else in LA.

This is an amazing place...especially if you are a fan of big band music and art deco. There is also a rich history in that it was, at one time, the location of a popular emporium for men's fashion. However, the food is nothing special. They also still charge you an entrance fee even if you have dinner there...which can cost a pretty penny.

We went here to celebrate a birthday and it was awesome! Service was great, atmosphere was great, the drinks were great, and the band was Amazing! The only thing that wasn't on par with everything else was the good we ordered. We had the steak and the salmon, not the best, in my opinion. However, the stuffed shrimp and the Tuna Tartar was really good, while the Tiramisu was Excellent and so were the drinks (had to mention drinks again because the bar tender was making them perfectly). I need to learn ballroom dancing and come back here again so we can take full advantage of the atmosphere and ambience.

Delicious food! Showtime started at 8:30 on a Saturday night. I liked that we had our reserved table for the night and weren’t rushed to get the next party in. The waitress even offered to spread out our courses throughout the night which was much appreciated. 5/5 would make the drive back for this experience again!
