My first time in Austin, and the first dinner I wanted to take my wife had to be good… I looked at many places and this restaurant, Corner, popped up with 4.8 stars, but I think they were wrong; it deserves 5 stars… everything was delicious. We decided to start with the snapper ceviche, then the grilled flat iron steak, and the corn on the cob… amazing! And then a tres leches cake, which was delicious… I recommend it a thousand times over, and thanks to Brandon for his great service.

I stopped by Corner Restaurant during a short trip to Austin and ended up having a pretty relaxed, easygoing meal there. It’s right in a convenient downtown spot, so it was an easy choice after walking around the area for a while. The place has a modern but comfortable feel—not too fancy, not too casual. I liked that it wasn’t overly loud, which made it easy to just sit and unwind. The staff were friendly and attentive without hovering, which I always appreciate. Food-wise, everything was solid. I wouldn’t call it the most memorable meal I’ve ever had, but it was definitely enjoyable. The portions were decent, and the flavors were balanced—nothing too heavy or overwhelming. It felt like the kind of place you could come back to without overthinking it. Overall, Corner Restaurant struck me as a dependable spot. Not a must-visit destination, but a good, reliable option if you’re nearby and want a comfortable meal in downtown Austin.

Pros: The salmon was exceptional—easily the second-best meal I have ever had. Service: The service was outstanding. The servers were attentive, professional, and ensured we had a pleasant dining experience. Cons: The indoor dining area was quite cold, which made it uncomfortable to sit inside, so we opted to dine on the patio instead. 🍽️ Overall⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Weekend getaway in Austin, stayed at another hotel but went here for dinner. Ambience - cool modern vibe, a but dark, but modern. The outside bar on the corner is very good for an afternoon drink., but is usually very crowded. The inside bar stools are horrid…padding is shot, you literally sink down and are resting on the square edges of the seat. The interior bar area is also very loud and echoing, when combined with the music the overall noise level is fairly high, making conversation difficult unless you are sitting right next to someone. Service - we had reservations through Open Table, but the hostess couldn’t find it. (I later got a message from Open Table saying we didn’t show up…really?). We chose to sit at the bar, our preference. We were quickly given water, and asked if we wanted to order a drink, we asked for both a drink and food menu, service went downhill after that. Lots of bartenders on the very large bar, but had to flag someone down for everything we wanted after that. Ordered a glass of wine and a beer and food. The wine pour size was large. Ordered the Green chili chicken enchiladas and “Elot” street corn, shared between two of us. The enchiladas were presented nicely, and the sauce was good, but basic cooked chicken inside, not much to rave about. The street corn was very good, crispy corn and tasty sauce. Food portions were large, the two dishes were just right to share. They did bring an extra plate without us asking. Would I go back…probably not. Would I recommend…maybe. Would be fun to have a drink outside on the corner bar if you can find a seat. However as far as food, there are lots of other places to try in Austin.

Food was great I ordered the chipotle chilaquiles loved the spice balance and combination of flavors. We also ordered steak and eggs which comes with Tartar sauce and potatoes, which is 10 out of 10! Yeah, atmosphere is very calming and nice to look at 👍🏼
