Room is spacious but shower is narrow. Service said that you have to request housekeeping in advance- first thing someone has ever told me that so they couldn’t have anyone come up an clean (it was not even 2 pm). Great location but a bit expensive for their mediocre service.

Avoid this hotel, at least while being renovated. There was no information on their website or while making the booking to say the hotel was being renovated. No cafe, no bar, no breakfast or kitchen - all closed and behind a black plastic curtain. The elevators are museum pieces and the most dated and scruffy elevators I’ve used in a very long time. The in room HVAC was bulky, very old and very noisy, and operated by a control on the device itself, no thermostat. We also lost power for a few hours one night. The grid apparently went down, but the rooms were not connected to the emergency generator for unknown reasons. This is a big issue when you sleep with a CPAP as I do. It’s crazy, bordering on rude, that the hotel continues to charge full standard rates whilst the hotel is in this condition and services not available. Strangely enough the hotel didn’t send a request for a review after my stay, as is usual for Marriott properties, but given the state of the hotel I guess they don’t want guests posting reviews. Very poor value for money and hands down my worst hotel experience in the last 10 years - and I travel a lot. If this had been my first stay at a Marriott property it would probably have been my last.

Although the hotel is under going renovations we still had an excellent stay. The rooms were large and rather comfortable. The room we stayed in was really clean. The staff was very helpful with recommendations and by ensuring we were comfortable. The hotel had a very serviceable gym with treadmills, elliptical equipment, a few machines and free weights. The hotel was centrally located in downtown Providence. We were mostly able to walk to most of our chosen destinations.

The beds were comfortable and I like that the duvet is heavy. The 6th floor was an absolute disaster. Someone in management thought it was a great idea to put guests in the rooms they were doing renovations directly above so at 8am I woke up to the sound of a shovel scraping right above my head. These were really sweet about moving rooms but let’s not forget to acknowledge the human waste smeared on the wall.

First time in Providence and this hotel is located in a great spot to experience the city. I didn't know it until we arrived and strolled around. It's set back a way from the street but it's across from a park and a short walking distance to downtown and the nearby mall. I also discovered a recently opened food hall next door which exceeded all my expectations. The room was updated and comfortable. As Courtyards are geared toward work travel I found the desk convenient and the desk chair to be very comfy. The large love seat was also comfy. This is in contrast to other hotel chairs that are more info comfortable like the hotel room in currently in. Between the location and the room I wish I spent more time at this hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
