I give this place a 20/10. When I say everything we ate was so freaking flavorful and seasoned to the God's. This is definitely in my top 5 of all time. James the waiter was so awesome and helpful in making selections on what to get. Serves and food above and beyond. Definitely will be back again.

Ill start this review with the thing that stands out the most here... F.L.A.V.O.R. It is in every. single. bite. of the food I had here. Ill start with my food... the Parmasean Chicken was outstanding. The MacNCheese was creamy and delicious. The green beans were the best Ive ever had that didnt involve ham or bacon. The Broccoli with cheese was steamed well with good flavor. The cornbread was among the best Ive ever had. My wife had the pot roast... again a ton of flavor. The carrots were sweet and delicious. The sweet potato casserole was also great... a little nutmeg heavy which I loved, but is not for everybody. The service... Cloey took great care of us from the time we checked in, through ordering and the meal, and until we left. The other staff members were all equally friendly. It definitely gives the family restaurant vibes, but elevated. The atmosphere is great. Homey, elegant. and refined all in one. There was live music that was excellent... including a jazzed version of "Happy Birthday" and another jazz interpretation of "Hello" by Adele. Outstanding and really complemented the mood of the restaurant without being overwhelming. Only two things I can think of that arent perfect... 1) The entrance is a little awkward without much of a waiting area. Minor issue, but there. 2) This place has been there for 8 years and I didnt know about it sooner. I would have been there 50 times by now. I absolutely look forward to returning and trying more off of the menu.

I'd never heard of Davis Wayne's before today, but after my visit, I understand why. The food is so good that you want to keep it to yourself! We visited them on a Saturday around 5pm. Our server Cloey was very pleasant and knowledgeable when it came the the menu options. We ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken with collard greens, broccoli, and pinto beans. Everything tasted great and was seasoned to perfection. We also got the Ox tails with Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes which was also great. The restaurant feels upscale but very laid-back. They played 90s rnb at a low enough volume to where you could enjoy the music and still conversate with your party. What I loved the most is that this establishment was family owned and operated. Will definitely be back and I encourage others to do so.

Southern Comfort all around! First, the restaurant is gorgeous, with 20' ceilings in a Georgian-style building with a large outdoor patio that connects with the restaurant through large glass doors in great weather. Second the menu sported lots of southern comfort foods, with a variety of grilled and slow-cooked meats, specials, salads, great vegetable sides and "out of sight" (yes, I'm that old!) complementary corn bread. Third, the family/staff were extremely friendly and service was great. Finally--and best of all--the food was very good: my wife had the smothered pork chop while I had the lamb chops, and we both enjoyed the southern greens, beans and another round of corn bread. All of this with a full bar and a choice of wines made this the perfect stop just a mile from I-75 on our trip north. Thanks for a great evening and we'll see you all again next season!
