This was perhaps the worst hotel experience I've ever had by a wide margin. I arrived at 4:30PM and my room wasn't ready because they were delayed in getting rooms cleaned (part of their cleaning staff was out). I came back at 5:30PM and 6:30PM, and still my room wasn't ready. To add context, It was summer in Baltimore, so it was hot and humid in the lobby because their AC was out. They didn't put out a fan or anything to cool the place down. On top of that, the front staff was rude (I'm not exaggerating), I've never encountered such rude service up front and especially a situation like this. I ended up leaving my phone number with the front desk so they can call me when the room was ready. I decided to leave and come back when they called. Guess what. They never did call (they probably forgot). I came back around 10PM and my room still wasn't ready... Understandibly, I was incredibly annoyed. Now it was raining out, still no AC in the lobby, it was hot and humid, and the complimentary water was out. No one had refilled it.... I had to buy the hotels water to cool myself down. Finally, its 10:30PM, after some calls by the receptionist, my room was finally ready. I've genuinely, I've never encountered such incompetence. While I understand that the unexpected happens, the rudeness of the staff, their tone of voice, and lack of hospitality in this situation was what really horrified me. It literally felt as though I was an inconvenience for the staff rather than a guest. When they gave me the keys, they did give me a late checkout for free... but sorry, thats hardly enough to account for my experience. I've never wrote a bad review in my life, but the experience I received here was so horrendous that I had to.

I booked this Days Inn despite the negative reviews because location was my top priority for attending a conference at the convention center. The hotel is literally a one-minute walk away, and that is the only reason I can give it even one star. The location is excellent, but everything else was disappointing. 1. The hotel is very old, which I expected. However, the third floor has a strong unpleasant odor, as if the carpets have not been deep cleaned in years. 2. The room had the same bad smell. While I understood that the furniture would be outdated, the condition of the room was unacceptable. The paint on the headboard was peeling and looked dirty and neglected. 3. There was no hair dryer in the room. I requested one four separate times: - First, I called the front desk from the room phone. I was told there was a hair dryer behind the door, but there was not. - I then went downstairs and spoke with the front desk staff in person. I was told someone would find one for me, but nothing happened. - I later asked a housekeeping staff member, who acknowledged my request, but again nothing happened. - The next day, another front desk employee told me there were no hair dryers available because previous guests had broken them. As a result, I had no choice but to air-dry my hair every day during my stay. 4. After my initial call to the front desk, I was never able to reach anyone again using either the room phone or my cell phone. Every call was disconnected or ignored. The only way I could get through was by calling the hotel's reservation line. 5. The complimentary breakfast was the most basic hotel breakfast I have ever encountered. The entire selection consisted of a few slices of bread and bagels, with virtually no other options available. If you are expecting even a modest continental breakfast, you will likely be disappointed. I travel frequently for business and have stayed in hotels around the world. Unfortunately, this Days Inn provided the poorest customer service I have experienced. The hotel appears to remain in business primarily because of its unbeatable location next to the convention center. It is disappointing to see staff rely on that advantage while neglecting basic guest service responsibilities.

While the check-in and check-out processes were smooth and the staff was pleasantly helpful—even moving us immediately when our first room had a terrible, stinking odor—this Days Inn by Wyndham Baltimore Inner Harbor property was highly disappointing overall. The hotel is very old, outdated, and simply not up to the mark for the Wyndham brand name. Additionally, the location is just okay, and the breakfast spread was very poor with minimal options.

Update: the hotel told us they would cover the parking ticket cost. At no point did they say when we had to drop the parking ticket off that night so we figured we could drop it off when we dropped our key. The lady at the front said there was nothing they could do which is ridiculous. The only thing I liked about this hotel was how close it is to the concert venue. Waited in line for almost an hour to get a room key that didnt work. Then had to get back in line. The continental breakfast is just yogurt, cereal, and white bread. With as much as they charge per night, they could at least put some muffins or sausages out. There are no places to fill your waterbottle, instead you have to spend a ridiculous amount for a plastic one. $200 a night for a room with 2 beds that weren't very comfortable. Fridge in room was nice and there is a microwave in case that is important to you. This hotel could really use some updates starting with new carpet, so many mystery stains and smells throughout our stay

The staff was friendly and very welcoming. I’m glad that they offered coffee and bagels in the morning. I’m glad that washing machine was working however, the dryer left my clothes a little bit damp so that might be something that management might wanna look into as far as providing a better dryer that works. Other than that, it was a good comfortable stay and I liked how the room had a couch attached to it and my room was Big so I could walk around a lot.
