Welcome to the district hotel where we offer water mattresses, hair-leaving room service, and no - that’s right absolutely NO - [microwaves, fridge, breakfast, modern conveniences] parking. Oh impressed by the water mattresses? Yes our mattresses are soaked in genuine minerals in the form of urine, topped with not-so-clean white sheets. wondering when we pop in? Jennie the house keeping lady makes sure to leave suspicious long hairs around the room - collect all 10 and win a special prize!!!! The water (urine) marks on the mattresses are puzzle pieces meant to be a fun little game, complete the puzzle to earn a free breakfast since we DONT OFFER THAT NORMALLY. have a great stay at the district-urine-soaked-dead-breakfastless-hair-souvenir-hotel.

Small practical simple somewhat dated but very clean. We came in the evening and it wasn't busy or hectic. Nice and quiet. We saw a big rat coming up the stairs but it wasn't Mickey mouse. Lots of tree lined streets in area. Whole foods nearby and convenient to Metro. The rooms were cozy, clean and basics provided. Would stay again and recommend for adults. Steps going up. Elevator inside. No 🅿️ lot but we didn't use a car. Grab breakfast at Holiday inn. walk around lots of good eats and safe clean public squares with benches and cool statues.

This is a quiet place! In a perfect location close to the White House and the National Mall and has many restaurants nearby. My family was only here long enough to sleep and shower. It’s a great place to crash for the night to refresh. Everything is within walking distance less than 3 miles away. I will definitely stay here again! I paid on average $156 per night for 4 rooms and stayed 6 nights. The hotel next door is $350 per night and isn’t any better than this place.

The District Hotel is something I would recommend if you’re looking for an affordable stay in downtown DC. One of its biggest advantages is the price, plus it’s conveniently located near everything in the city. They provide basic essentials like an iron, ironing board, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The rooms are not very big, but if you’re looking for something budget-friendly, it works well. As for the disadvantages, the room does not have a microwave, refrigerator, and the TV is quite small. However, I was happy to find that they have a small lobby area where guests can stay, with access to a microwave, tables, and chairs for eating. The front desk staff are also very nice and easy to talk to. Overall, it’s definitely worth it if you’re looking for a budget-friendly place to stay. Plus I forgot to capture the photos from the lobby well you can still see in the website or the other tourists.

This place is participating in a scam. I was set to go to DC Feb 11-14 2026. My disabled daughter became sick, horribly, a week before I had to leave. She doesn’t get sick often, but when she does, it’s usually bad. This time it was. I always book everything refundable, everything. That usually means I pay more up front but it gives me piece of mind. I had booked through booking.com. Right away when I knew my daughter was so sick. I tried to cancel, to move my dates anything and everything. Through booking.com and directly through the hotel. They refused. I can absolutely understand if it was last min, or I no showed. But I never once was made aware this was a non-refundable room. I’m absolutely disappointed in the management at this place and with booking.com. Don’t book with this establishment. Even if I went and stayed, it sounds like it would be a bad experience.
