I recently stayed at the Econo Lodge Cranston - Providence and had a really solid experience. The hotel is conveniently located right off the highway at 101 New London Ave, making it super easy for travelers, truckers, or anyone passing through the Providence area. Check-in was quick and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed — good bed, reliable WiFi, and a decent TV. The bathroom was spotless, and the hot water was plenty strong. For the price, this place offers excellent value. It’s quiet enough at night, and I appreciated the easy parking right outside my room. If you’re looking for a no-frills, budget-friendly stay with good basics and a convenient location, I highly recommend the Econo Lodge Cranston. I’d definitely stay here again on future trips through Rhode Island. Highly recommended! 👍

I would strongly avoid staying at the Econo Lodge in Cranston. From the moment we checked in, there were issues with the room. The door would barely shut unless you slammed it with excessive force, which already made the stay frustrating and concerning. The bigger issue happened with the bathroom. The lid of the toilet cover was broken by the housekeeping staff during cleaning. We immediately notified the front desk, and they told us everything was “all set” and handled. Then, after three days after checkout, we were shocked to receive a $250 damage charge for the broken toilet lid. When I called to dispute it, management claimed they spoke to the cleaning staff and, unsurprisingly, the staff denied causing the damage. They also claimed they had photos of the room after it was cleaned showing no damage. However, when I asked to see the photos they were supposedly relying on to justify the charge, I was told they would not provide them. Very disappointing experience overall — poor room maintenance, unfair charges, and extremely unprofessional handling of a customer complaint.

0 Stars Worst place I’ve ever stayed at I have traveled a lot for business and for leisure and I have stayed at a few places that didn’t really get great reviews that were better than this Econo Lodge Cranston RI When I booked this through bookings.com They said they had fairly good ratings however now I think they might have paid people to right those reviews. So first off when I booked this was the closest place that had availability The room was listed as a double room with 2 queen beds and a pull out. I let them know before I arrive that I would be arriving in the middle of the night because I would be driving 14 hours there When I arrived at 2 o’clock in the morning, technically on the second day they told me they had canceled my reservation because they tried charging my card and it declined. I verified with my bank that there were no charges from them They were able to book me back in at a more expensive rate than I got through the online site I was too tired to argue with them after driving all day so we went to our room to pass out When we got there, the beds were definitely not queens. They were barely even fulls and there was no pull out The TV satellite service kept disconnecting every 30 seconds Then the next morning, when my husband took a shower, the hot water didn’t last more than five minutes. After going to a funeral, which is what I drove up there for I called the front desk and notified them of the issue. They told me that they would go up to my room and see what they can do to fix it. I asked them to wait until I got back because I had expensive electronics and things in the room that I did not want going missing. When I got back to the property and checked in at the front desk, they told me that they went to my room, even though I asked them not to go to my room and then there was nothing wrong with the room They told me they had checked the TV inside in there for five minutes and played different channels and there was no issues. They told me there was nothing wrong with the hot water and they let it run for more than five minutes and they reassured me that the beds were definitely queens. So I asked the lady if I went up to my room and there was an issue that they would move my room or that she would come up and fix it immediately She claimed that they did not have any other rooms available however, it looked like they had many room rooms available But Said said she would come right up to my room and fix the issue When we got up to the room and turned on the TV, it immediately started having the issue. I recorded this on my phone the TV disconnected several times with a matter of minutes. I tried to call down to the office using the house phone, but the house phone didn’t work So I used my cell phone. I called and spoke to her and she said she would be right up after 20 minutes when she did not come up I called her back. She told me she could not leave the office because she was the only one there and then I would have to wait till the next day to call and speak with the manager. In the meantime, I actually measured the beds and the beds were definitely not the size of a queen bed The next morning after packing all of my things I went down to speak with the manager. We had already packed our bags because we were either going to get a different room or we were gonna go to a different hotel. After explaining my issues to the manager, he didn’t seem very concerned. He told me that they were not actually queen beds and that they were full, and if I took my reservation reservations, my reservation would say full However, since they canceled my initial reservation, I could not go back in and confirm what the initial reservation said it only said double bedroom. The manager did not want to do anything. They did not want to give me another room. They did not even want to cop me for the time that I was there after arguing with them. I had an absolutely exceptional stay at the Econo Lodge in Cranston—truly a hidden gem that delivers a five-star experience at an unbeatable value. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The staff was very accommodating and efficient. I did witness 2 separate guests start arguments with the front desk over failures they experienced when booking with third party travel websites I had never even heard of. The rooms I stayed in were better than expected and a great value. I booked with the choice hotels website. The are has an absurd amount of flagship company stores for shopping within eyesight. Every brand name imaginable. The bed was comfortable. Refrigerator/separate freezer was larger than most hotels. Cool bathroom with large accessible shower and the bathroom door doesn't get in the way. A wide variety of lighting options ranging from reading to super nova sun. More tv channels than most hotels. Overall a great value
