Came to New Orleans and had to give Galaroire’s a shot. There was a vibrant atmosphere! The drinks were amazing. My favorite was the La vie en rose, it was so good. For starters we got Soufflé potatoes and oysters en Brochette. For our entree I got a red snapper that was recommended by our server and filet mignon. And the cherry on top was the Banana Froster bread pudding.

Galatoire's is exactly the kind of classic New Orleans dining experience you hope for when visiting the French Quarter. Every dish we ordered was excellent, from the turtle soup and Oysters Rockefeller to the blackened redfish topped with shrimp and crab. The sides were just as impressive, and even dessert was outstanding. What stood out most was the quality of the ingredients and the preparation. The menu showcases traditional New Orleans cuisine done right, with rich flavors and attention to detail in every course. The service was also fantastic. Our waitstaff was attentive, knowledgeable, and made the entire meal feel relaxed and enjoyable without ever being intrusive. If you're looking for an authentic New Orleans restaurant with exceptional food, great service, and a classic atmosphere, Galatoire's is absolutely worth a visit. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish and would gladly return.

We were looking forward going here and having a lunch. We didn’t feel particularly welcomed here. It seems it’s only for locals and they make you feel like you are an outsider. Which we are but normally you don’t feel it in restaurants. Food was mid. The oysters didn’t taste good. I did enjoy the crab avocado salad. Escargot was decent. Banana pudding was good.

My husband and I had an unfortunate experience as far as atmosphere and service goes. The wall next to where we were seated was splattered with food and needed a wipe down. Our waiter took quite some time to greet us, forgot to ring in our second round of drinks, and our side dish. Going to a restaurant with a reputation like this, you expect the highest level of service. We ate lunch during a week day and it was not busy, so there was no reason to my understanding that our server was not more attentive. Food is rated high, we enjoyed a few of the soups, the escargot, and a fish of the day. All were delicious, but we chose to forego dessert because I was so upset by the service.

A very fun lunch in the main dining room. The vibe was loud and festive. I was hoping for more live music but non the less it was a great time. People were friendly and the food and champagne flowed seamlessly. Our waiter Charlie who was nothing but great guided us through the lunch pacing it amazingly well. Regardless of when you go, soufleed potatoes are a must, as is the shrimp remoulade. My son’s ribeye was probably the best he has ever had as was my perfectly prepared soft shell crab. What a meal! Thank you to everyone there who made it memorable for us.
