Room is very clean and calm. Love the little add-on I got for my daughter's birthday, the banner at the door the balloon and the little gift card from the wolf pack. Got the pup pass for my kiddos and they absolutely loved getting their bear made at build a bear and then the arcade at the northern lights. Eating was a bit expensive we caved in since was for our girls birthday. Next time may get the food credits to make it cheaper. Water park was super fun and safe. Kids loved both the now 9 years old and 6 years old had a blast and want to come back for sure.

I'm giving this 3 stars since my kids had fun and the food was good for quick service but overall I would be happy to not come back. The room was dirty, dark and hot. It seems like there was not central AC and only an AC unit, which never got the whole room hot at night. The bed for adults was small, and the only rooms with bunk beds have just a small bed for adults and no king option. There was only one end table, and overall the room felt old, used and dingy. No conditioner provided, only shampoo and body wash. The check-in process was chaotic. I first went up to the kiosk but my card wouldn't work even though it was in my name (same as the reservation.) Had to get back in line and my husband's card worked. There were tons and tons of people in the lobby or waiting for the front desk. The kids had fun at the water park even though it was very busy and the quick service pizza was good. Having Dunkin' Donuts was a treat and easy breakfast in the morning. For the price and having to pay for parking, I think the rooms need an upgrade for sure.

Update: in addition to charging for parking, now the hotel has gotten rid of the vending machines and replaced them with signs telling people to go buy drinks and snacks at their tiny market downstairs. Where you can enjoy a soda for $4 each or a $3 bag of chips. It’s ridiculous. This will be our last visit after all this nickel and diming. What a greedy company. On top of all this, our current room is right adjacent to the service elevator. Which gives us a loud bang on the wall every time it’s used, so hard that you can see the wall move. Right outside our window is a view of the rooftop below, which has a large machine that runs extremely loud every hour. We are going to Wilderness at the Smokies next time. This is ridiculous. And it’s only the first day of our 4 day trip. We have been to this location 4 times now. It’s only expensive if you don’t bother to use coupon codes, and there are literally always coupon codes. The restaurants in the hotel ARE rather expensive, so we always plan to only eat a couple of meals there and the rest we get takeout from a restaurant in the area. The staff is always very friendly. It’s a bit ridiculous that they now charge for parking in their own parking lot. I don’t know how they get away with that. And the rooms do not have microwaves in them since they want to force you to be so annoyed that you will just buy food from their restaurants. Which doesn’t work of course, people just order food from local places. But my kids always have fun when we are there. We rent a cabana because I’m not about to try racing for a chair every day then guarding it. The cabana packages come with various things like a stocked mini fridge, a meal at one of the restaurants, a tv in the cabana, towels, refillable soda cups, etc.

Our family had a blast! The salt chlorinated water helped keep eyes from being completely deteriorated spending 2 days in the water. The amenities are awesome. The rooms are clean and comfy. We had a great overnight stay in a double room with several families.

If you pick the right days, the price can be very affordable. Our stay included two water park admissions with the room, and our baby was free, which made it a great economical choice for our family. The property is very large and offers so many different activities for all ages. Our baby absolutely loved the toddler pool area! The rooms were very nice, a bit dated, but still comfortable and clean. My only small complaint is that the water park area could have been warmer. A few of my friends’ babies were so cold they were turning purple. That said, the kids still had the time of their lives. Overall, we had an awesome experience and will definitely be back again for our little one!
