There are so many good things about the Hampton Inn Baltimore-Downtown-Convention Center. I travel weekly and regularly for work with my company, visiting some of the biggest cities across the US. This hotel is one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had — not because of the comfortable bed, the super-clean lobby/rooms, the complimentary breakfast, or the updated look of the space... but even if none of that were the case, I would still come back here again singularly because of the people employed here. Every single staff member from the valets to the breakfast staff to the desk workers that I encountered (even the repair man in the hallway!) was welcoming, smiling, helpful, and genuinely pleasant. The overall attitude and demeanor of the team here was exceptional, it really made the entire stay feel comfortable and relaxed. Janine at the front desk in particular was absolutely outstanding — incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating, and an all-around wonderful person to interact with. Yolonde and was equally warm, was often speaking with every person in the lobby about what they were in town for, giving advice about the weather and taking an umbrella (it was about to rain). If you’re staying in downtown Baltimore, I would recommend this hotel to anyone without hesitation. The staff here are doing hospitality the right way. The way it used to be, and not force-fed to you by reciting from a Hampton Inn employee training script, but rather a genuine desire to help and interact with the guests. It, Was. So. Refreshing. Loved it.

Everyone was so pleasant and nice! Very clean and convenient. Breakfast was great! I would have given a 5 star but the bathtub in our room did not work. Only the shower. Would definitely stay here again. We always stayed at the Sheraton until it sadly closed. We will definitely stay at this Hampton Inn now when we come down to Baltimore for our events. Thank you!!

READ ALL OF THE REVIEWS POSTED BEFORE BOOKING! Maybe it’s not just this hotel, but I may just be done with ALL Hampton Inn hotels as a brand. I am a loyal Hilton member and the other Hilton hotels are fantastic but I’ve had nothing but unpleasant experiences at the Hampton Inn hotels. You are paying for location at this hotel. I paid $400 a night! 😲😲😲 it’s right across the street from the Orioles stadium which is super convenient. It’s next to Pickles and that bar gets kind of rowdy. We saw a couple making out (literally) right next to the hotel door and no one said anything. Keep in mind I was with my nine year old son and elderly mother. Now on to the hotel itself, I was not greeted as a Hilton Honors member or provided any of the Hilton Honors perks and downhill from there. We were in room 214, if you stay at the hotel DO NOT stay in 214 because you will smell trash and fuel the entire stay. It’s really strong and it smells horrible. I reached out to the front desk and they did not respond AT ALL! The room view is of the dumpster and all you see is trash going and coming and you smell it in the room. It’s very strong! We did not get housekeeping. We stayed two night and did not get housekeeping. I asked the front desk about housekeeping and they told me they were coming and never did. I then went downstairs and got clean towels and asked if they could at least come get the trash from our room and they never came. Breakfast was decent but the sausage links were severely over cooked. Someone else mentioned this in a review and it’s true. They are so hard you can’t even bite it. Was it worth the price ABSOLUTELY NOT, it’s not even worth $200 a night. Keep in mind I travel a lot and this is by far the most overpriced hotel with lack of services and below average experience that I’ve ever stayed in. It may be the entire Hampton Inn brand because this is not the first time I’ve experienced these similarities at another Hampton Inn hotel. I’ll stick to the other Hilton hotels and will avoid Hampton Inn all together.

What a great visit! If you stay here, double check your dates against the Orioles Home Schedule because if it's a home game, it might be a bit tricker getting to the hotel entrance. The vibes were immaculate though and worth the manuevering to find the entrance in the block party! The hotel is very clean and seems recently renovated. Our room was great and comfortable and QUIET! We couldn't believe how quiet it was, especially being right over the block party being hosted by the bars next door to the hotel. This was a SUPER easy walk to the convention center, the stadium, all of the other things down there and there's a Dunkin within a 2 block which always delights my wife. Outstanding stay, we'll definitely try to book here again, thank you to all the staff, especially the valets who welcomed me in each time!

We stayed for one night. We upgraded our room and glad we did. We had beautiful views. Besides being charged twice for valet parking, everything was perfect. We contacted the valet parking company and they issued a refund for the separate charge. Every staff member we spoke to was very courteous and professional. We will definitely be staying here again for future visits.
