Stayed for two nights, encountered problems since the start I'll start by saying the room was very clean & digital check in was easy. The staff that handled breakfast (not the front desk, the actual breakfast area) were very helpful and helped us to get breakfast that was not cross contaminated. Very kind and helpful. Missing a remote in the room and had to call twice to follow up. It seems the first person who picks up doesn't actually do anything, just answers the phone and says ok and hangs up. The water pressure; very low and bad. We called night we checked in, unfortunately they were sold out. Were told to ask manager in the morning. Next morning, we tell them the situation and they say it will be taken care of while we're out. We were out from morning to night and came back and nobody had even entered the room. We had to call again and then someone came up eventually. He fixed it and it improved a little however water pressure was still low. It was not enjoyable & would deter me from future stays. Soundproofing isn't great; could hear our neighbour at night and they were just talking in regular volume. Morning of check out day at 8am, we wake up to houskeeping knocking and trying to enter the room all within a few seconds. Approaching front desk staff is a hassle, over he phone and in person. It's like pulling teeth. Approached the desk in the evening, and the female agent was on her personal mobile phone! I waited a moment before saying hello and asking my question, and she didn't look up or greet or acknowledge me until she finished what she was doing on her phone, and even then didn't greet. Very poor customer service from Hilton at this location, you better hope you have a good room and no issues or you will not get anything done in a timely manner. Breakfast is basic Hampton Inn. Gym is nice and has space and plenty equipment for the size. Pool is on the smaller size and definitely can't fit more than 4 people in there comfortably; unfortunately couldn't swim as another group was in there already and it would have been tight Coffee in lobby is unfortunately not available throughout the day, as it was cold in the early evening. Very clean room & walkable area. Edit; after my review, the GM whose name is visible leaves a review saying the opposite of what I said; very odd!

While my stay and overall experience at this property started off well, checking out and later discovering a room damage charge had been added to my account based on what I believe was a false claim was extremely disappointing. To be fair, the property itself, while older, is still well maintained. The room was smaller than I'm typically accustomed to, but it was comfortable and cozy. The bed was excellent and provided a great night's sleep. The location is also ideal and convenient for exploring the area. The staff overall, was great. There were a few minor drawbacks. Both of my windows faced office buildings, so there really aren't any notable view options. Additionally, the room's open-face refrigerator, while a nice feature, made it difficult to fully darken the room at night. The light from the refrigerator was surprisingly bright. I ended up placing a towel over it, which helped significantly. After some back and forth regarding the room damage charge, the charge was ultimately determined to be a mistake and was reversed. While I appreciate that the issue was corrected, the situation should never have escalated to that point. As someone who travels frequently and regularly stays at Hilton properties, this experience was particularly disheartening. It has caused me to reconsider future stays with Hilton, specifically Hampton Inn, and may influence my lodging choices going forward. My biggest concern is the process itself. If housekeeping reports room damage, management should be required to verify the claim before a guest is charged. Had that occurred in this situation, the mistake could have been identified immediately and unnecessary frustration could have been avoided. What made the experience even more frustrating was being told I would have to wait until Monday to speak with the General Manager. If the charge was incorrect, there was nothing that could have been gained by delaying resolution. The issue needed to be investigated and corrected when it was brought to management's attention, not days later. Mistakes happen, but there should be safeguards in place to prevent guests from being wrongly charged in the first place. This entire exchange was avoidable and left a lasting negative impression.

The location of this hotel is the best. About 5 minutes walk to the White House and 25 minutes walk to National Mall. Lots of restaurant within 15 minutes walk. Our room was clean but no microwave. The pool area is really clean but a bit small. Coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and hot water available 24/7. I wish they had a regular water jug available. The breakfast was just okay. On one of the days we were staying the food was terible, the powdered egg had a funny tastes, the patty was so dry, and some of the potatoes were uncooked.. Maybe the cook took a day off or something. Also, on our last day, about 15 minutes before they closed the breakfast area, one of the employee started vacumming a few feet away. I asked her to stop as some dust are flying off the air and people are still eating. She just looked at me, no apologies then move her vacuum a few feet away and started vacumming again. I guess shes desperate to clean the area before everyone finish their breakfast.

Great experience overall. Very convenient location - about 10min walk to the White House, 2 metro stations very close (Farragut North, R line, & Farragut West, B & O lines). Very little noise. Bedroom was very spacious. We must say that the air conditioning vent location isn't ideal, as it directly projects to one of the beds, so sleeping with the A/C is not possible or at least I wouldn't recommend it. Beds were very comfy. Negative things: attention at the front desk was very....dry. It felt like dealing with a robot. She would give us instructions about where the bedroom was and where the breakfast was served so fast that it was difficult to retrieve all the information, and when asking what exact floor was the bedroom at (as I didn't get it at first), she responded kind of annoyed. At least the bedroom was nice. Breakfast is a disaster - Very very limited, plastic cutlery and dishes. It was included in the reservation, so we didn't complain too much. Hotel overall is modern, well decorated and clean. There's also parking offered by the hotel, but it's super expensive, I don't recommend it. We booked at a parking at the parallel street through Spot Hero for about 25$ for a full day. We only spent one night, so it was fine; I would repeat here again given its great location, metro nearby and comfortable bedrooms.

This hotel is excellent! I've stayed here a few times for work and always enjoy my experience. The area around the hotel is walkable with close restaurants, coffee shops, and stores. Plus the breakfast that they offer is delicious! Literally every staff member that I ever interacted with at the hotel is friendly and helpful! I had two issues that the staff helped me resolve immediately. First, my room seemed to have an issue with the heating system. When I mentioned it to the front desk, they immediately apologized for the issue and got me a new hotel room. Second, I left an item in my room and didn't realize until I was at the airport about to get on my flight home. I called the hotel and they helped me complete the necessary form which I did right before taking off. By the time I landed at my home airport, I had a message letting me know that they had found my item. I requested that they ship my item to me and, within minutes, they sent me tracking information for my lost item. I travel regularly and I can tell you this type of service is not common. The team that works at this hotel is some of the best that I've met. Thank you, Hampton Inn White House!
