I haven't the slightest idea why this hotel is rated over 4 stars. This hotel is rather filthy. The lobby smelled off immediately upon entry. The first room I was assigned had obvious signs of water damage on the ceiling by the window, and there was mold growing in the AC grate. The second room I attempted to switch to smelled like someone had just smoked marijuana in it 10 minutes prior. There were no other rooms available that night. I had just driven 4 hours, it was already very late, and I had a carful of sleepy kids, so I had every reason to try and make it work. But it was so gross that I wasn't physically able to stay there. My eyes began to water inside of twenty minutes, and I had to get a room at an entirely different property (the Avid-Lebanon, which was actually cheaper and way cleaner). The whole hotel felt like a petri dish. Granted, I am very mold sensitive; YMMV. The gal at the front desk was excellent and very cordial, and of course there was nothing she could do about the state of the hotel. My review mostly reflects the not-entirely-accurate description of the hotel as having been "recently renovated," when there is unmistakable water ingress and mold issues that were likely just painted over. It was popping that night nonetheless, so it obviously doesn't bother a lot of other people, but I'd sooner sleep in my car than sleep in a place in that condition, personally.

My wife and I spent the night at the Holiday Inn Express on Antioch last weekend, while we were in Nashville for her monthly in-person class at Vanderbilt, and we were really impressed. The desk staff was super friendly, and the room was both comfortable and spotlessly clean. The continental breakfast was tasty and had plenty of options and stock when we went down right after it opened for the morning, the dining area was clean and well-kept as well. The *only* quibble I had with our stay is that the AC in our room seemed to be having some issues, and wouldn't change from 74 degrees no matter what you did. Overall this was a really nice experience, and we will definitely stop at this Holiday Inn again!

Kevon checked us in he was very nice, answered all my question. He had great energy and knew his job. The room was clean the bed was comfortable. The hotel was convenient to the interstate. I would and will be staying at this location again. Thank again to Kevon and the staff.

Please if you stay here be careful about them double charging your room. I booked on a 3rd party website and they charged me again for the full price of the room + accidental. And they recorded no recorded of the 2nd charge for my room when I checked out. If you book online do not pay a second fee for the room. I was also charged $20 extra from what I was shown.
