Great location. The rooms come with a complimentary stale odor that makes you wonder how long the air has been marinating. The soundproofing is so impressively nonexistent that you’ll never feel lonely; you can enjoy every conversation, footstep, door slam, and random noise from neighboring rooms and outside as if they were happening right beside your bed. The free Wi-Fi is also a nice throwback to the early 2000s. It’s perfect if you’ve been looking for an excuse to disconnect from the modern internet. During my stay, the guests next door decided to do some cooking with particularly strong aromas. Fortunately, the building’s advanced air-sharing technology ensured that I could enjoy their meal from the comfort of my own room without ever being invited. Overall, a memorable experience for all the wrong reasons. I would happily rate this place 6 out of 5. Unfortunately, the system automatically erased the leading 1.

I don’t like writing bad reviews, but sometimes you get so stressed and mad, it’s warranted. I am a Hilton Gold Member and travel to Providence for business monthly and this was probably my 5th+ time at this hotel. In the past I’ve had issues, but decided not to do a bad review. I arrived on Sunday 5/17 at 3pm and selected a room on the website. The room wasn’t ready and they gave me another room, #300 so I could relax from a long day of flying. Went up to the room and the refrigerator and freezer didn’t work and neither did the TV. They sent a man up who reset some circuit breakers, adjusted a cable on the TV and left.15 minutes later, the TV didn’t work and the refrigerator ( I had a sandwich with me) was still warm, called the front desk again and moved me to room #800. Stopped at the front desk on 5/18 and told them I’m aware that room cleaning is every other day, which is RIDICULOUS for almost $300 a night, but I want just the bed made and new towels on the odd days. Came back at 4pm and asked the front desk if the room wasn’t ready cleaned. She said no, I’m sorry but they’ll get it cleaned in 30 minutes. I walked to check the temperature in the gym and on my way back,she said the room had been cleaned?. Don’t know what happened there but great. Next day , cleaning day, I came back at 4pm and the room wasn’t touched, called front desk and said housekeeping had gone home, but they’re sorry and would bring me up towels. The man came up and walked into my room without knocking, brought me towels and apologized. What if my wife was walking around. There were other issues like gym temperature, horrible breakfast with empty fruit and yogart bowls, no clocks in room and front desk couldn’t give me the name of a place that delivers pizza?? I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. When I checked out at 5:50 AM the girl was sitting on a chair or couch in the lobby and wearing a jogging suit…really? I will seek out a different Homewood Suites( when I go to California, I stay at the Oxnard one, and it’s awesome) or more likely switch to Marriott or Hyatt. BTW, Mike the shuttle driver is awesome, your front desk needs more training and customer skills.

First time in Rhode Island in decades and was happy to find this place. Rooms were great. Affordable, big, local, and clean. They have breakfast daily and the staff is phenomenal. I was here for work and the location couldn’t have been better. The only downside as far as I’m concerned is that there is no self parking and the valet isn’t cheap. There is a public lot directly across the street (also pricey) so it’s fine. I would highly recommend this place and for anyone looking for a place for more than 2-3 days, this is a no-brainer.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Homewood Suites in downtown Providence! It’s clean, modern and very comfortable and this is TRULY the most wonderful, joyful, competent, helpful and kindest staff we have ever had the pleasure of interacting with at literally any business, but especially at a hotel. They have gone so far above and beyond to serve and take amazing care of me as we’ve been here for a couple of weeks for surgery and now at least another week to allow me to recover from surgery. From Tiffany at the front desk to Honey and Aleyda in housekeeping, the wonderful and joy-filled breakfast staff and the management, we are SO impressed!! I went down on Easter morning to purchase something and I noticed the front desk manager was working so that her team could be with their families on Easter. Now that’s some amazing management! I’ve also been told by the housekeeping staff that their manager Brian is also a truly wonderful boss. This is such a well-run run hotel: it’s very clean, very well supplied with everything you need for a long or short stay, it’s very well located in proximity to the medical center and there are tons of restaurants within walking distance. We’ve stayed at fancier hotels before, but this one is hands-down our favorite. Thank you for everything, guys!!!

We had a great stay at this hotel. The whole staff was so friendly and accommodating! We were traveling with our kid, and they had set our room with a pack n play and a high chair, prior to our arrival - which if you’re a parent, you know how nice it is to not have to wait for a crib at 1 am lol! Tiffany was the kindest soul we could’ve met during our trip. She was so nice to our daughter and gave us amazing tips (from restaurants to housing). We told her multiple times, but we want to say it here again, we appreciate you and your kindness, Tiffany! 🫶🏼 The valet people were also very friendly and quick with their help. A few quick touch points: - The breakfast is meh. The options are good, but the quality is not. - The room was clean, even though it was carpeted room - The bed (king) was pretty comfortable - The room was equipped with enough kitchen utensils for us to cook. They also have a full size fridge, a VERY potent microwave, and a dishwasher! - They’re still using 0/00 Zero Shampoo/Conditioner; which I find it VERY good - They have high chairs on the breakfast area - They only have valet on site and is a bit pricey, but there’s a parking lot right across the street - The location is great! Close to everything in downtown - The business room had a great WiFi connection and it had nice natural lighting
