I was not provided with a towel upon check in at 930pm, and despite asking, did not receive one until 11:00 p.m. Furthermore, when I was finally able to use the shower, the wall-mounted soap and shampoo dispensers did not work. I ended up taking a shower without them. I chose Hostel Fish expecting a clean, functional boutique experience. Paying guest rates only to be denied a towel until late at night and left without basic washing amenities is a total failure of standard hospitality. I requested a refund after I returned home on June 9th. Response from the property: "Unfortunately, we are unable to fulfill a refund request at this time. Because these issues were not brought to our staff's attention during your time at the hostel, we were not given the opportunity to address or resolve them for you immediately. Furthermore, as several days have passed since your check-out, we are unable to verify the specific details of the incidents regarding the towel delay or the amenity dispensers." I was there from 930pm June 5th to 630am June 6th (when front desk was closed). I raised the towel issue to the Front Desk upon check-in but they had no clean towels left and had to wash them. There is a bar downstairs, open till 2am. AC is very loud. Between waiting for a towel to shower and all these, I barely got much sleep.
