  I have been trying to get ahold of the hotel for a month now. They have forwarded me to the managers phone and I have left voicemails and received no calls. After booking through air bnb, hotel contessa charged my card for the room after I already paid air bnb because they didn’t have air bnb’s credit card on hand. They did this without authorization and then told me that the charge would fall off my account. Well it never has. Airbnb got paid and hotel contessa got paid. Hotel contessa will not return or answer phone calls.

  This hotel will definitely be my go-to place whenever I stay in San Antonio. The property is beautiful, elegant, and exceptionally well maintained. From the moment you arrive, the staff makes you feel welcome. The valet team is friendly, professional, and full of personality. The front desk staff is equally outstanding—outgoing, helpful, and genuinely pleasant throughout the check-in process. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. I appreciated the many amenities, including a small refrigerator, real glassware, bathrobes, and other thoughtful touches that make your stay more enjoyable. The bathrooms are especially nice and stocked with just about everything you need. The hotel also offers massages, facials, and other spa services, making it a great place to relax and unwind during your stay. The rooftop pool is beautiful and provides a great place to relax. I also had dinner at the hotel, and it was exceptional. The food was outstanding, and the waitstaff was accommodating, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Another major advantage is the hotel's location on the River Walk. Being able to enjoy dinner and then take a peaceful walk along the river afterward made the experience even better. For guests with disabilities or special mobility needs, I was very impressed with the accessibility of both the hotel and the surrounding area. We traveled with a heavy-duty power wheelchair and had no issues accessing the building, guest room, restaurants, or common areas. The restrooms were accessible as well. We also brought a manual Hoyer patient lift, and it fit comfortably throughout the room and bathroom areas. The hotel pool is equipped with an accessibility lift, which was another feature we appreciated. In addition, San Antonio's River Walk area was surprisingly accessible, making it easy to get around and enjoy the city. Overall, this is a peaceful, welcoming, and highly accessible hotel that provides excellent service, outstanding food, relaxing spa amenities, and a fantastic location. It will definitely be my go-to place whenever I visit San Antonio, and I highly recommend it to others. My only issue was with the sodas. The rest of the drinks were great! The coffee was excellent, and the alcoholic beverages were generous and well made. But the sodas? They were some of the flattest I've ever tasted. I'm a soda person—I personally prefer an ice-cold soda over coffee or alcohol any day. So, with all due respect, I have to put my foot down on this one... really, you can do better! 😄 I'm expecting an ice-cold, fizzy soda the next time I come through. 😉❤️‍🔥💛💚
