We had a great stay at this lovely hotel. The location is top notch, just within walking distance to almost everywhere you want to go. The staff are super friendly and they’re always there to help. We also enjoyed its bar and freshly baked Belgian Waffle! They always generously offer complimentary morning coffee/tea. We also got an electric kettle cause we love hot tea, and we even checked out a bit later than 11 am thanks to their help! Here is some photos for you we took when checking out, just in case you still hesitate to stay there. 10/10 recommended for DC visitors!

This is where I stayed. Wow, I was vacationing in the capital. I would say that it was a very good experience to be more specific. The rooms were nice. They were clean. They had good bathrooms, spacious bed for 2 (in thr queen) The hotel was easy to navigate. It had bar and food available.

My wife and I recently stayed at Hotel Hive, and it was one of the best hotel experiences we've had. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and taken care of. A special shoutout to DeeDee (DD), who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Her friendliness, professionalism, and willingness to help truly stood out. One night, we came back to the hotel around 2:30 a.m. and ended up talking with DD for about an hour. We talked about the area, the hotel, and just general experiences. She made us feel like family and friends, and that personal connection made our stay even more special. The hotel itself has an incredible look and feel. It's modern, unique, clean, and has a great atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Every detail seemed thoughtfully designed, and the overall vibe was exactly what we were looking for. The location is unbeatable. We were able to walk to many of the places we wanted to visit, and it made exploring Washington, D.C. incredibly convenient and enjoyable. Overall, Hotel Hive exceeded our expectations in every way. Between the outstanding staff, the amazing atmosphere, and the perfect location, we couldn't have asked for a better stay. We will absolutely be back, and honestly, we won't stay anywhere else when visiting D.C. Thank you to the entire Hotel Hive team for such a fantastic experience!

Hotel Hive has a great location and lower room rates. However, when they say "micro hotel", they mean micro. My room was barely wide enough for me to walk next to the bed to get into it. If I had anything other than a carry on suitcase, I would have no where to put it. As it was, I had to stack my suitcase on top of the safe in a small nook by the door. There was no closet (just a bar with 2 hangers) and no drawers except in the vanity of the sink in the bathroom. The top drawer was cut out in the middle for the pipes. The bathroom had essentially zero counter space, which meant I had to use the tiny desk for my toiletries. Therefore, there wasn't space to work. The door opened in front of the shower and blocked the sink a bit so you couldn't really stand squarely in front of it. I was in room 509, one of the more expensive "loft bunk" rooms. Maybe I just had bad luck with the specific room I was given. If you just need to sleep in your room, this hotel is fine. For me, it was just too small and I likely won't be back. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly and the pizza at their takeout pizza place was delicious. The rooftop bar (where you can also order the pizza) was beautiful and had lots of tables and couches to relax.

After a recent stay at the Hotel Hive, I must say it was one of the many highlights of my trip to DC. If you're looking for just the right spot, this is it... For starters, the location in the Foggy Bottom area of DC is hard to beat. It's an incredibly safe and completely walkable neighborhood that makes getting around the DC area perfect. The 5-minute walk to the metro station was perfect for starting and ending our long days running around, taking in this amazing city. Since it was our first ever stay in a "Micro Hotel" our room felt anything but cramped. Our Loft room was cozy, comfortable, and perfectly designed to maximize the space given. What made the space stand out was the huge windows, which let in a ton of natural light, making the room feel bright and spacious, thus perfect for waking up and planning our day's adventures. Lastly, there was the phenomenal staff... Every staff member we encountered was super friendly and always willing to go that extra mile to help answer any questions that we had. One front desk staff member who stood out was Sana, who, at every interaction, was always the first to ask how we were and how our stay was going. She even mentioned several helpful insights that made our stay that much better. Simply put, I can not recommend the Hotel Hive enough.... It truly is a gem in the Foggy Bottom District of DC...
