This is an absolutely FABULOUS hotel that is very quiet and relaxing. I tried out this Bunkhouse location for the first time recently for a short stay and had a great experience as a Globalist. Upgrade to a suite was granted proactively before check-in, and processing a late check-out was no problem. All of the staff were very friendly and breakfast at Perseid was excellent. The grounds were well maintained and the decor was chic and trendy. The pool looked immaculate, though I didn't actually take a dip. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

The fire alarm went off for 20 seconds at 12:46 AM in the middle of the night and I could not go back to sleep until 4 AM. That was horrible. The valet company which was supposed to park my truck in the valet area did not and parked it across the street in a mud pit the next morning when I walked downstairs after getting a horrible night sleep, my truck was curbside unlocked with no one at the valet booth. If you don’t care about getting Stop a good nights sleep and you don’t care about getting your vehicle stolen I cannot recommend Hotel Saint Augustine enough, however if you want a good night sleep and you’d like to sleep, knowing that your vehicle is secure then I would probably look somewhere else. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Basically, the hotel is very expensive—in the $300–$400 range—considering the amenities offered. The bathroom is excessively large, taking up space that should have gone to the guest room itself. The shower lacks proper containment, causing water to splash everywhere. The air conditioning is difficult to operate. The room lacks basics like a coffee maker, water, or a minibar. On the plus side, the staff and food are of very high quality; however, this doesn't make up for the discomfort and lack of coziness in the room—which is, after all, the main thing you're paying for. You can find much better hotels in Houston at this price point. It might have been a coincidence, but there was an event in the hotel lobby, and the sound was broadcast everywhere via the integrated speaker system instead of being contained within the lobby area. Furthermore, if there is a pool party, the rooms lack sufficient soundproofing, forcing you to "participate" in the party whether you want to or not. In short... be practical: for $300–$400, look for somewhere else. ———————- Basicamente el hotel es muy caro en el rango 300$-400$ por las comodidades ofrecidas. El baño es demasiado grande en detrimento del espacio en las habitaciones. La ducha no tiene contención del agua y salpica para todos lados El aire acondicionado es difícil de manejar La habitación carece de cosas básicas, como una cafetera, agua o un Frigo bar Como tono positivo, el staff y la comida es muy buena calidad, pero no alcanza a compensar la incomodidad y la falta de confort de una habitación que al final es el núcleo de lo que uno paga por un hotel, en Houston se consigue hoteles mucho mejores por este precio. Puede haber sido una coincidencia, pero había un evento en el Hall / lobby del Hotel, cuyo sonido era propagado a todos los lugares por el sistema único de parlantes, en vez de contener el sonido para el evento solamente en el espacio del lobby. Además si hay algún Party en la piscina, las habitaciones carecen de aislación de sonido suficiente y uno se ve obligado a “participar” del Party, por más que uno no quiera. En Resumen … sea practico por 300/400$ busque otro lugar.

We were in a small room with absolutely NO comfort. No space to put luggage for two people. Huge bathroom for no reason. The sink with mirror was outside the bathroom. Terrible design. Also, they rented the bar/lobby for a party so there was not quiet place to stay for the rest of the guests. The noise of the party could be heard anywhere at the hotel. Again, BAD design. So sad. Only good things are location and decoration. The stay was disappointing. Not staying here again.

I had a great stay at Hotel Augustine. The front desk staff and valet service were both friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout my visit. A special shoutout to Jesse from valet, who was exceptional. He was always kind, professional, and personable, and I genuinely enjoyed our morning chats. Those small interactions made my stay feel even more enjoyable and welcoming. Thank you to Jesse and the front desk team for the excellent hospitality. I would gladly stay here again.
