This was a great spot. It was close to the Washington Mall, had a free shuttle, close to the subway. Great restaurants nearby. The staff was wonderful, the breakfast was pretty good as well. I would definitely stay here again

My husband and I arrival date was Father’s Day’s, Sunday, June 21, 2026. Check in time was 3:00 p.m. EDT. I paid for two nights in the Riverfront Penthouse one bedroom suite, the largest and most expensive suite in the hotel. We had a 5:00 p.m. dinner reservation and tickets to Arena Stage with a 7:30 curtain call. The supervisor on duty told me that the person occupying the room the night before requested and was afforded a late checkout time on June 21, 2026, of 4:00 p.m., because the person was a Hyatt member. After I explained that I also was a Hyatt member, the supervisor then stated, without providing any evidence, that the person was afforded the late checkout time because he had a higher membership status than I had. While the check in time was 3:00 p.m. it was not until some time after 5:00 p.m. the suite was finally cleaned and available for our arrival. The next morning, the front desk manager was very apologetic and provided a refund of 50 percent of the cost of the first night, for the inconvenience.

Extremely satisfied with my stay at the Hyatt House at The Long Wharf. The view from my room was breathtaking. We were here for my mother’s birthday and she really enjoyed our stay. She could not look away from the view from our room. My entire family enjoyed their stay here and you will too. The hot breakfast is a treat especially considering that it is free. The valet parking staff are very efficient and reliable. You may consider the price quite hefty (I sure did) but your car is in great hands while under the care of the Hyatt/Canopy valet staff. My only caveat is that the toilet was leaking a bit and didn’t flush initially the first time, it’ll take a couple times to flush the contents out. However, this is not a huge deal breaker of any sorts. The beds were very comfortable and the room felt clean to the touch. Special shout out to Senessie M. He really helped me out with my reservation and he made her first visit to DC even better for her. His professionalism was very on point. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. This was not my first time visiting this hotel and will definitely not be my last.

Great location and the rooms are clean. We arrived on Friday but found out there isn’t a bartender on duty that day. However the bartender showed up on Saturday night, and the drinks were great! Only complaint is due to lobby is on the 2nd floor so UBER drivers gets confused on where to pick you up. You almost have to give Starbucks address ( around the corner) to get pick up. Roof top pool is a plus!
