This was by far my favorite place in all of Buffalo. The food is incredible, the restaurant is clean and kept nicely, and the chef is the best! I had the lasagna and 100/10 recommend. And their desert is beyond words.

(Pictured is the pork osso buco) Chef is from a little town in Italy, but he's definitely put an American spin on his dishes. Really good seasoning and flavor in these dishes (particularly the mashed potatoes, in my opinion no one ever puts enough black pepper- but this chef does!). They only have 8 or so red wines on the menu but they are all surprisingly really great selections for a wine buff. Portions are really generous, staff is all welcoming and nice!

Iron tail is slowly developing into a Buffalo staple. Delicious meals, Great cocktails, and exceptional ambiance. My personal opinion is that they should drop the brunch/breakfast side of the menu and lean into becoming a lunch/dinner spot. The pork shank was so tender, the meat fell right off the bone. The lava cake was also a perfect dessert to wrap up a great Mother’s Day dining experience. I’ll be back and I highly recommend going for dinner.

The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. The smash burger was perfect! The crispy chicken sandwich was disappointing as it was super thin and less than 2oz of not-so-crispy chicken on a bun. Definitely be back, just not for the chicken sandwich.

Chef: Steve Waiter: Eddie App: Garlic Zucchini Wife: Chicken Pot Pie Me: Pork Osso Buco The misses and I walked in, we were promptly greeted by the bar keep, asked if we wanted a bar seats or table, and showed us to our table on the 2nd level. Eddie our waiter was prompt with greeting us. Very personal-able gentleman, got our water and took our drink selections. With him know it was our 1st time, he didn’t try directing us to the most expensive items on the menu. He actually listened to what we like and directed us to what he thought we may like…. And he was spot on with his suggestions. Everything was FRESH!!! Every herb and spice seemed straight off the stem. The Zucchini was still crisp, yet tender. Sauce was freshly made. Pork was seared nicely, yet tender. Mashed potatoes were fresh and creamy. The pan jus from the pork was a little much, but the vegetables gave the extra jus something to do… lol The crust of the pot pie was nice and flakey. Chicken was tender, the saffron sauce was nice and smooth. English peas weren’t over cooked and still carried the fresh pick flavor even after being perfectly baked in the pie. The atmosphere was great. Sometimes during Buffalo winters, restaurants have a difficult time getting the temp, just right…. Well it was just right!!! We got the opportunity to speak with the Chef Steve. Very pleasant and welcoming guy. He came out and spoke to us at length about his experience and his authentic style of Italian cooking. Told us he was from Italy and that’s what he was looking to bring to the establishment. I gave him some constructive criticism about the extra pan jus, but he was very receptive. It’s been a while since I’ve given a restaurant a perfect rating, but the stars aligned with this one…. We’ll definitely be going back to try the other favorites and we definitely recommend you do too.
