Jeffrey’s has been a regular stop for us, and Easter brunch added a new dimension to an already well-established favorite. Everything about the experience felt intentional. The brunch menu struck exactly the right balance, familiar enough to feel like a proper Sunday meal, but with enough creativity to keep every course interesting. Nothing felt forced or overwrought. Just confident, well-executed food. The drinks program is equally impressive. Whether you’re going mimosas or something more creative, the bar delivers. And the desserts, genuinely divine. The kind that make you reconsider whether you actually needed to save room. What elevates Jeffrey’s above the crowd, though, is the service. Impeccable is the right word. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being precious. You feel like a guest, not a table to turn. Austin has no shortage of places competing for “best in the city,” but Jeffrey’s has earned that conversation. We keep coming back for a reason, and Easter brunch only confirmed it.

Jeffrey’s was the highlight of Austin. I could honestly go every day. The service is impeccable, the team is on point, and the whole experience feels elevated without trying too hard. The margarita is incredible, and the wine selection is outstanding—especially on Sundays when bottles are 50% off. The steaks are unreal. The Wagyu New York strip was perfectly cooked, and the filet had amazing flavor. The mushrooms are a must‑order, and the fries are thick, crispy, and so good. We started with the truffle deviled eggs, which were spot‑on and the perfect first bite. The only miss for me was the desserts, which didn’t quite match how amazing the rest of the meal was. Overall, Jeffrey’s delivers on every level and is a must‑visit.

Everything was cooked to perfection. The starters and hors d'oeuvres were delicious but the portions on the smaller side. I’m sure this was intended to leave room for the star of the show aka the steaks. The porterhouse was easily the best steak I’ve ever eaten. I cook steaks at home but this was on a completely different level and worth the price.

My last night in Austin was spent catching up with a girlfriend I hadn’t seen in six years, so it felt only fitting to celebrate the occasion at a legendary restaurant like Jeffrey’s, located in the charming Clarksville neighborhood. I had heard so many great things about Jeffrey’s, including its reputation as an Austin fine-dining staple since 1975. The restaurant strikes that rare balance of feeling cozy and intimate while still maintaining an undeniably upscale atmosphere. Colin was our server and he did an amazing job taking care of us throughout the evening. Shortly after we were seated, we were served complimentary bread with stracciatella cheese, which got me super excited. Stracciatella happens to be one of my favorite cheeses and it’s surprisingly hard to find so this was a treat. The bread was warm and perfect for scooping up the creamy, delicate cheese. Extra points to Jeffrey’s for offering this as a complimentary starter! After that, we ordered the crispy fried oysters, which were recommended to me by one of the sushi chefs at Sushi by Scratch who mentioned she used to work at Jeffrey’s and insisted they were a must-order. They arrived golden and delicate with a light, crisp exterior and that briny, buttery oyster inside. Truly the perfect starter and just the right portion to begin the meal. For our mains, we both opted for the Gulf Red Snapper. The dish arrived beautifully plated with a perfectly seared exterior. The fish was delicate, flaky, and cooked perfectly. On the side we ordered the oak-grilled broccolini, which came out vibrant and slightly charred with a subtle smokiness. It paired well with the snapper and added a nice fresh balance to the meal. They also have an excellent white wine selection, which complemented the seafood perfectly. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and the perfect way to end my Austin trip. Jeffrey’s will definitely be a staple stop every time I visit Austin from now on.

I had the lamb chops. Very flavorful, cut like butter. Very delicious mashed potatoes. Very delicious! Now I wasn't a fan of the mac and cheese, My personal opinion it can use more flavor. But the cheesecake I was very impressed by. Very delicious 😋
