I had a great experience at Kattie’s Restaurant in New Orleans! The food was absolutely delicious full of flavor and exactly what you hope for when visiting the city. Every dish we tried was well-prepared and satisfying. Unfortunately, our waitress (Natalie) was not very friendly and seemed a bit impatient, especially with us as tourists who weren’t familiar with the menu. A little more warmth and guidance would have made the experience even better. That said, I’m still giving 5 stars because it wouldn’t be fair for one interaction to take away from the quality of the food and the overall experience. The restaurant itself truly deserves recognition.

Chanced upon this small neighborhood brunch spot and was pleasantly surprised. There was a short wait, but the bar made it easy to settle in. The mimosa was well-balanced, and the crab cake with egg and bacon stood out fresh, high-quality ingredients you can genuinely taste. Compact space with a diverse menu; ideal for a relaxed solo visit or small group, though larger parties may want to plan ahead. Friendly, welcoming atmosphere throughout.

Ordered: Chargrilled Oysters, Kalamata Muffelata, and Fried Catfish Plate. Pros: Very cute back patio area. The food was decent. The chargrilled oysters were a little less cooked than most places do. The regular chargrilled was pretty basic with lots of butter and Parmesan. Wish it had a little more flavor. The bread with the oysters was nice and fluffy. The muffuletta whole was HUGE and it was toasted to perfection. The fried catfish was pretty standard, nothing special. The Cons: Service was very slow when we went on Sunday. It was almost 45 minutes before the oysters came and over an hour for the main dishes. The drink fountain needs to be adjusted as the flavor of the coke was pretty weak.

We are locals but have never been here. Family came in from out of town, so we decided to try it. The service was top notch! Our waitress was friendly and great at making sure we had what we needed. The food was visually appealing and tasted good. My husband got the pasta which he really liked. The only downside is it was quite noisy, as we went during the weekday at lunch time. Tables are a bit close together.

Fiance and I came here for a late lunch after exploring City Park, and absolutely loved our experience here! Our Lyft dropped us off, and this place looked PACKED! I was nervous that we'd be waiting awhile, as some parties were seated on benches out front, so we walked in to assess what the wait time might be. To our surprise, there were a few seats open at the bar, so we squeezed in and started with some strong margaritas! Probably one of the best during our NOLA trip! We also had the charbroiled oysters which were on their happy hour specials so that was nice! They were soooo delicious!!! We both chose the Redfish which was perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked! The summer squash it came with was also tasty! Despite them being slammed with guests (always a good indicator that the food is gonna be good!!!) we still had wonderful service. Happy we came here!!!
