We arrived shortly before our reservation and they seated us early which was nice. The serving team was attentive and friendly through our whole meal. The food. The food was incredible. From start to finish every dish was unique, flavorful, and masterfully prepared. The appetizers were distinct and exciting. My family demolished the Adobo Marinated Olives while my favorite was the Sinigang Shrimp Chips. The Baby Gem Salad is a gem with house made kesong puti, which was a soft white cheese that made up the base of the salad. I don't normally go for steak tartare, but the Adobo'ng Beef Tataki was excellent and the addition of the thin sliced daikon on top was perfect. I forgot to take pictures of the Garlic fried rice and Chicken Fat rice. But they were both a nice twist over plain white rice. As far as main dishes go, there don't seem to be any wrong answers. I was a big fan of the Grilled Steak Pares. The Pork Belly Lechon was also spectacular and the Chicken Inasal is a great choice for people who aren't into beef or pork. Finally, dessert. We had the Buko Pandan Sago which was quite good. My party got to it too quickly for a photo though, so sorry about that.

I’m really happy with Kapé! Like, really happy and impressed with the food and drinks. If you like breakfast sandwiches that have bacon and egg, go for the Tocino Ham Sando. They have a menu that changes every week from the looks of it so definitely ask about their specials and check the online menu. It’s outdoor seating but they’re always adjusting the umbrellas to cover everyone as the sun moves. It’s right in the middle of a plaza that has a lot to explore but the breakfast I had has been my favorite this weekend trip while visiting LA. I adored the sago parfait with pandan and strawberry (it was a little sweet and too thick for my partner who is Filipina) but I really liked the balance of it (sweet, salty, thick and different textures). Salted butter mamon was superb. Salty, sweet, rich and fluffy 10/10. My partner enjoyed her ube espresso latte and I tried the condensed milk jackfruit cold brew: it was light & refreshing. The cold brew was my least favorite out of everything because everything else topped it.

This Filipino (with a twist) restaurant was on my food hit list when I visited LA, and it did not disappoint. Lasita is an experience in itself. Every dish was a treat. The pork belly lechon, autumn pancit canton, and the shroom sisig.. OMG, that shroom sisig!! The unexpected favorite! I kid you not, I’m still thinking about it! I paired that with a glass of white from their natural wine selection, which I cant tell you which one it was exactly. I asked our sweet server to choose one that would complement the food we ordered and she absolutely delivered! The staff actually know what they’re doing and make you feel taken care of without hovering. Lasita doesn’t try to impress. It just is impressive. Easily 5/5✨

Nice restaurant that served Filipino food with a twist. Their menu is a little limited, but they have special dishes depend on date. However, the food taste great, a bit on salty side of thing.

Amazing Filipino cuisine in a vintage downtown LA Chinatown building (housing Howlin' Ray's and Endorffeine). Warm, colorful interior. Lots of seating, including booths. Friendly, attentive staff. Meal started off superbly with a bottle of Engkanto Honey Ale (the hint of honey at the end of each sip). The entrees that followed were wonderful: Vedge Salad, Sizzlin' Shroom Sisig, Early Autumn Pancit Canton, and Inihaw Na Panga. Easy to have conservations - quiet noise around us.
