I usually find the Atlanta dining scene incredibly tedious—most establishments here mask below-mediocre food with even worse service. It’s to the point I don’t even bother with any restaurants here. This place, however, is a rare exception. It is an absolute 10/10. I’m not entirely sure what the critics in the review section are whining about, because the hospitality here is flawless. The energy was immaculate from the moment I walked in. Prince (thank you for the LB pin and helping get new menus printed), Taylor, Gracie, Benjamin the sommelier, the lovely hostess at the front, and the manager—everyone was utterly captivating and attentive. The lemon pepper wet cocktail is dangerously good, and the tartar is pure perfection. If you have an appreciation for actual quality, impeccable service, and an elevated vibe, this is the perfect spot.

Had the chef's tasting menu last night with a friend who is also a "foodie." It was equisite! The service was excellent, the atmosphere was lovely, and the food...even though each dish was smallish, by the time we arrived at the last dessert I was very full. It doesn't hurt that the restaurant is located 2 blocks from my house, either! Maybe next time we'll get the wine pairings.

I don't think there are words that can truly capture how amazing this restaurant was. It was a truly an experience, from when we walked in, all the way until when we left. Personal, caterered, one of a kind experience. The food was 6 Stars, perfectly curated to emphasize the full taste of every sliver of food. No wasted items, no wasted space on plates. Everything intentional

Best meal I have had in a long time. This is such an experience and special treat. Everything is perfect put together. All the flavors flow and compliment each out. The drinks are amazing and creative. They give you all kinds of extra little taste treats. I just loved everything. Upscale and intimate dining area. The bar is beautiful. Service is excellent. Everyone knows the dishes and can explain everything and what goes best. We left so full! My favorites were the tuna layered item and the truffle risotto....but everything was so good.

Went for the winter tasting menu and had an outstanding evening. From the moment we sat down, the staff made us feel like regulars. Every member of the team knew the menu inside and out, and we especially enjoyed our conversations with the sommelier, who brought a real passion for wine culture that elevated the entire pairing experience. The service struck a perfect balance — attentive without being intrusive, and genuinely warm. The food was exceptional across the board. The courses built beautifully on one another, from a delicate early course with ethereal rice chips and microgreens over a silky puree, to a stunning seared foie gras, and then a perfectly cooked fish course in a rich beurre blanc dotted with vibrant oils. The wagyu with roasted maitake mushrooms was a showstopper — deeply savory with a luscious reduction — and the duck breast with morel, puff pastry, and squash was cooked to absolute perfection. We added the 1oz Ossetra caviar and the black truffle risotto, and both were worth every penny. The risotto in particular was decadent, blanketed with generous shavings of black truffle. Dessert closed the meal beautifully with a caramel-forward composition featuring poached pear, pecans, gold leaf, and a delicate ice cream with crumble. The wine pairing was thoughtfully curated and full of surprises. Rather than safe, predictable pours, the sommelier matched each course with creative selections that genuinely complemented the food. We had a great time discussing the reasoning behind each pairing, and it was clear that the wine program here is given the same level of care as the kitchen. My only reservation — and it’s one I suspect many Atlanta diners share — is the price. Between the tasting menu, wine pairing, caviar, and truffle risotto supplement, the total for two is firmly in special-occasion territory. For a city like Atlanta, which doesn’t quite have the deep fine-dining density of New York or San Francisco, it can feel like a stretch. That said, the quality of the ingredients, the precision of the cooking, and the caliber of the service are all genuinely Michelin-worthy, and I don’t think the pricing is unjustified for what you receive. Lazy Betty absolutely deserves its star. If you’re looking for the best tasting menu experience in Atlanta and are willing to invest in it, this is the place. We’ll be back.
