Although they have a patio that is dog friendly, I would not recommend it because the food are in takeout containers for patio, and our experience was not very good. I had the train pho, but the noodle came out clustered, even though it’s fresh take out. I was impressed by the large portion and variety of meat cuts, but they are not very flavorful, and some beef slice is very tough. Some slice were still kinda rare, it was impossible to chew and my stomach didn’t feel very good afterwards. The vermicelli bowl was ok. Although the egg roll was fresh take out, it was already soggy not crispy anymore. The garlic green beans were ok, it’s not the dry version that I was expecting. It’s very saucy and the 1 level spicy was pretty spicy. The patio was also kinda dirty for our dog to sit down. Tables are not super clean cuz it’s self-bus. Would not recommend dining at this patio.

Luc Lac was a cool experience. We originally planned to sit outside because the covered patio seating along the street looked really cozy and semi-private, but once we walked inside we completely changed our minds. The interior was gorgeous — glowing red walls with tiger artwork, floating Asian umbrellas on the ceiling, and vibrant lighting everywhere. There was a line all night, but they handled it really well and our food came out fast. We had the pork rolls and steak-wrapped vegetables for appetizers, which were both delicious. I ordered the steak and brisket pho and really enjoyed it. The broth was on the simpler side flavor-wise, but the meat was cooked perfectly, the portions were generous, and I loved that they used purple onions instead of white. The loud rap music mixed with the bright decor gave the whole place a really fun modern city vibe. Definitely a memorable spot.

The decor and the vibes in the restaurant were absolutely amazing. The staff were nice and helpful. You first wait in line to order food and drink. They will only let you order if there is a table open. (Hence, there’s always a line at the door). Not a bad idea for volume control and not overwork the flow. Yet the food just felt underwhelming. I had pho, broth was good, noodles were good but nothing special about it. The chicken rice platter was so dry. I could barely swallow it. The drink Thai Tea Creamosa had a twist on traditional Thai tea with cream on top. I did not like it. I found myself kept seeking that condensed milk taste. Overall a good vibe spot but I wouldn’t go for food.

We went on a weekday evening around 7 PM, and this was one of the only restaurants still open at that hour. There was already a huge line outside. It looked like you could either get takeout and sit outside, or wait to be seated inside. They also have a separate takeout window, which is convenient. First of all, I have to say the environment is stunning. The moment you walk in, the interior design really makes an impression. It has a cool 70s–80s-inspired vibe and feels like a great place to grab drinks. They seem to have a wide cocktail selection and a large, beautiful bar area. As for the food, it was just okay for me. I do think it’s a bit pricey for the portion size. I understand that this place leans more toward being a trendy, influencer-friendly spot, so some of the pricing feels a little inflated. The pho wasn’t really my style because it was much sweeter than I’m used to, and I personally didn’t love that. The shrimp, though, was actually pretty good, and I enjoyed that dish more. Overall, this feels more like a place to hang out, have drinks, and enjoy the atmosphere than a spot I’d go to specifically for the food. Still, it’s definitely an impressive space.
