Mango Bay stands out because it blends authentic Caribbean flavor with a stylish, welcoming atmosphere that feels both upscale and comfortable. Guests consistently praise the rich seasoning, tender braised oxtail, flavorful curry dishes, and creative appetizers like the ackee and saltfish eggrolls. It was such a great vibe and the food is amazing! The salmon, ribs and oxtails were DIVINE.

Loved my dining experience. Food was amazing. Shout out to the west African chef in the kitchen because her jollof and fried plantains was amazing. Braised oxtail and scallops were delicious and flavorful. Drinks were stellar. Service was very friendly and continued to check on us to make sure our eating and service experience was going well. Great tunes played and not crazy loud where you can’t hear yourself talk or talk with friends. Definitely a memorable dining experience. I’ll definitely be back!

Mango Bay Restaurant – Brooklyn, NY. Afro, Caribbean Cuisine. Mango Bay delivered an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. Every dish was prepared with precision, but the standout for me was the mussels. The sauce was easily the best I’ve ever tasted—and I’ve had more than 50 variations over the years. This one shot straight to the top of my list. It’s rich, velvety, and flavorful enough to enjoy like a soup, almost reminiscent of a lobster bisque. It paired beautifully with the bread as well. The branzino is clearly one of the restaurant’s signature dishes. Our waiter, Jelani, highly recommended it, and he was absolutely right. Served with rice, the sauce and garnish on the plate complemented the dish perfectly. There’s also a curry goat over plantains that I didn’t personally try, but everyone at my table raved about it. The scallops and caviar appetizer was another hit—the garnish sauce elevated the scallops without overpowering them. The restaurant itself has a great layout, featuring two floors connected by a spiral staircase that adds a chic, modern touch to the atmosphere. The crowd was energetic, positive, and professional, contributing to a lively yet comfortable vibe. If you’re visiting for dinner, you won’t be disappointed. Between the food, the ambiance, and the warm, attentive staff, Mango Bay is absolutely worth the visit.

Everyone in both dining rooms were dressed to impress including the very good at their jobs servers. Perfect place to bring your family and friends or enjoy date night. Watch Chef Maguette and her team rise to fame in real time, cause it’s only up from here. Well done Chef, congratulations!!

Mango Bay completely blew me away. I live on Long Island and randomly found this spot while I was at a college basketball game nearby and decided to stop in after. I have been doing monthly solo dates for myself and this ended up being the perfect place. The atmosphere felt so warm and welcoming. The service stood out too. The host greeted me by name when I arrived and again when I left, which made me feel genuinely valued. The ackee and saltfish egg rolls were unreal and it was my first time ever trying ackee. For my main I had the lamb shank with garlic sweet potato mash and it was fall off the bone, melt in your mouth good. The sweet plantains were just as amazing. Every bite was flavorful, comforting, and honestly one of the best meals I have had in a long time.
