Food is exceptional! Best fried chicken and mac and cheese ive had in a while! Whipped potatoes, collard greens and shrimp and grits couldve used a little more seasoning for my taste. First time having tomato pie and it was great! Bread pudding was good. Maybe a little too sweet. They give you complementary bread/cornbread for the table. And there is complementary sweet tea in the waiting foyer (which was also excellent). Peach martini ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you for a great event I hosted for my son's graduation lunch on May 31. Everyone was extremely complimentary of the food and ambience. My compliments to the head chef, Ronnie! Cayla and Corteja, our servers, were attentive and so kind dating back to when we first came to view the space a week prior to the event. They were the perfect hostesses. Thank you for making this day special for my son as we celebrated the next leg of his journey attending Tuskegee University in the fall. I also appreciate the attentiveness and communication of our event coordinator, Taylor, through this process. He helped to make everything streamlined and erased most of the anxiety I had in planning. This was a 10/10 experience and I would absolutely do it again.

You MUST try this place for truly authentic, delicious, affordable southern food. It has character, charm, history and is an experience you won't forget! Our server, Najah, was fun, helpful, beautiful and gave us incredible service. She made us smile, laugh and made our dining experience truly memorable. Ask for her!!!!!! The Fried Green Tomatoes with Parmesan horseradish dipping sause is by far the best thing we ordered. The Fried Chicken, Collard Greens, Sweet Potato Souffle & Hush Puppies were all out of this world! You need to try a "Cup Of Pot Likker" it is truly a flavorful surprise that you will want more of ! Desserts will blow your mind.... Peach Cobbler, Bread Pudding & Banana Pudding are so good you will want to get more for later. Don't forget to order a dozen Cinnamon Rolls to bring home for the morning. They are addicting!!

Mary Mac’s Tea Room feels like stepping into a piece of Atlanta history. The restaurant has that rare old-school Southern atmosphere that immediately feels authentic rather than manufactured for tourists. From the classic decor to the busy dining rooms and long-standing reputation, you can understand very quickly why this place has become such an institution over the years. There was a big queue when I arrived, which usually says a lot, and thankfully it lived up to the reputation. The energy inside is warm, busy, and full of character. It feels like generations of families, locals, and visitors have all passed through the same doors for comfort food and conversation. You really get that sense of tradition the moment you sit down. The portions are also huge. Ordering “the special” gives you an incredible amount of food, and once you add the sides and extras it becomes almost impossible to finish in one sitting. Definitely a place where taking food home is part of the experience rather than a sign you over-ordered. The standout for me was absolutely the fried chicken. If you come here, that is the move. Crispy, flavorful, comforting, and exactly what you want from a classic Southern restaurant. It tasted like the kind of dish the restaurant built its reputation on. Rich without feeling overly greasy and paired perfectly with the traditional sides. Mary Mac’s is not about modern fine dining or trendy presentation. It is about atmosphere, Southern hospitality, history, and generous comfort food done properly. The experience feels very Atlanta and very genuine, which is probably why the queues continue year after year.

Great place for a nice quality southern meal. The group had a combination of salads, veggie plate, meat loaf, chicken and pot roast, lots of sides and two desserts… peach cobbler and bread pudding. We all enjoyed some adult drinks including mint julep, hurricane max , wine, cosmo and wiskey lemonade Atmosphere and service are excellent. Great celebrity photos adorn the walls. Parking lot is behind the restaurant or street parking is available.
