Very good place to eat.

This is my first time to ever eat in this restaurant. Apparently me and the girl that took my order. Had a communication error. When I got home, what she had told me and what I have were not the same. I called back. I spoke with her again and she’s just told me she wasn’t understanding what I was saying when I placed the order. And she’s sorry that it’s not what I wanted, never did she offer to replace it for me or anything she just told me she was sorry that it’s not what I wanted. I feel as a manager myself that I should be compensated because I’m actually getting what I wanted or what I paid for. . I paid $30 not to mention, she told me I had to pay extra money for them to make it the way I wanted it If she did not understand what I was saying she should’ve went and got somebody else to understand what I was saying. I was asking her to make udon noodles just like a house special fried rice with noodles instead of rice. That’s all I asked, but it’s still wrong. She told me that it would come with onions and carrots, and in fact came with bell peppers and onions. I do not like bell peppers. If you’re the manager and you’re reading this post, I would really enjoy a response to this review. Again when I called back just now all I was told is I’m sorry , not we can remake it for you or anything like that.

Excellent sushi! Can easily do gluten free. They keep gluten free soy sauce. Give Nukumi a shot! update - this place is still great! Nukumi is the kind of neighborhood sushi restaurant that every area needs but not every area gets. Fresh, creative rolls, great atmosphere, and a staff that actually knows their menu. We keep coming back and it never disappoints. For anyone eating gluten free — this place is genuinely one of the better options around. The staff is knowledgeable and accommodating, and with sushi being naturally GF-friendly there's plenty on the menu to work with. Just communicate your needs and they'll take care of you. Refreshing to not have to stress about it for once. The value here is also worth calling out. For the quality of fish and the size of the rolls you're getting, Nukumi is very reasonably priced — especially compared to what you'd pay for comparable sushi in Houston proper. You can have a really solid meal without the bill making you wince at the end. The rolls are creative without being gimmicky and the fish is consistently fresh. The vibe is relaxed and comfortable — great for date night or a casual dinner with friends or family. Kingwood is lucky to have a sushi spot this good. If you're in the area and haven't tried it yet, make it happen. 🍣
