We were in town to see a comedy show at Hilarities on 4/17/26. Before the show we ordered appetizers which were amazing. We ordered bacon wrapped shrimp, crab cakes and a flatbread with mango and jerk chicken. The food came out quick and it was delicious. Our waiter and the staff were super friendly. The general manager, Will, picked up our tickets from the box office and delivered them to our table. He also made sure that cupcakes we brought for Josh Sneed from our bakery were delivered to the green room. ( per prior approval from Josh) We drove 6 hours to see one of our favorite comics, Josh and his show was awesome. We also stayed after the show and went to their martini bar. Erin, the bartender was so friendly and she gave us recommendations on what things we should see while we were visiting. We had a great experience and plan on coming back to try some of their entree’s the next time we are visiting.

Pickwick & Frolic is a pretty middle of the road resturant in cleveland. Nothing is exceptional but nothing is bad. It's very convenient if you are going to the comedy club down in the basement though. The waiters will get your tickets for you, make sure you make it in time for the show, and just all around great experience on that. If you are going to a show at hilarites is great. To get to the theater you still have to walk through the resturant it is the only entrance. Now if you are not seeing a show here it's not worth it. There are better places at a similar price point on the same street. But we'll start with the best thing the roasted sweet potatoes. They was very good and the caramel sauce on them was not overly sweet. They was really good and I would recommend them. The half jerk chicken was good. The spice mix on it had nice heat to it without being overly spicy. The white meat was quite overcooked though. But the dark meat was great. The mango jerk chicken Flatbread was not great it was really dry like little to no sauce on it. The toppings tasted great I really liked the sweet and spicy combination. But, it was like eating them on a dry piece of toast. The steak entrees the sirloin and prime rib was very well cooked the temperatures where nailed. I will say they where under seasoned but there is salt and paper on the table which I guess means you can fix it yourself. But they are nearly $50 per steak, so I'd expect them to be nearly perfect in execution or at least above average. The appetizers here both the walleye bite and sausage tray i would skip. They're not great, they're fine at best. But if your going to a show I would recommend the experience if you are just coming to eat here i would not.

My wife’s $61 Delmonico steak was ordered medium and came out thin and well done. By the time the second steak came out the entire table was done eating. The second steak was thicker like I got two different steaks. Total bill for us as a couple was $200. Drinks apps and steaks. My wife had to sit and watch everybody else eat and by that time her steak finally came out everybody was done eating. No dessert was even offered at the end. Service was a bit slow because the kitchen was behind. They didn’t try to comp the app or even give a free dessert. They just said thanks for your patience.

The vibe here is unmatched, down to the lighting, decor, food, and service! I'm never disappointed when I attend. The food and portion sizes were both great! Hats off to my waiter Chewy. Great attitude, personable, and very accommodating. Versus letting me return my food leftovers to the nearby hotel minutes before the scheduled comedy show, he informs me that they have a cooler available to hold it for me. OUTSTANDING! As a cherry on top, the owner Nick Kostis made table rounds ensuring the patrons were completely satisfied. What a great spirit he has! This is a well-oiled operation through these doors. I WILL recommend AND come again!

I enjoyed my night out. Dinner was bit heavier than I anticipated but I would say you get your money's worth. My only "complaint" is that I was given the option to add my meal when purchasing my ticket for the performance yet after paying you are told that you have to purchase 2 menu items during the show as well. I purchased several sodas during the show to meet that obligation. The person who I was seated with (not in my party) did not purchase anything a nd this seemed to be fine. I will definitely attend future performances at this venue.
