This place is absolutely amazing, food, service and atmosphere were all excellent. Very much looking forward to going back with friends.

The food was pretty good, I like the family style small plates, and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was beautiful!

The space is beautiful and a vibe and I can wax poetic about their mussels escabeche. The bread is perfectly charred, crisp but still with a nice soft chew, and the mussels are vinegary without being overbearingly so, meaty firm without being chewy. The veggies still have a nice crunch to them and the aromatics are spot on. This is my favorite thing from picnic and I highly recommend it, but from there, the menu simply falls off. Like other defined hospitality spots their food in generally is overpriced. The fries are fantastic but they’re charging 9 dollars! I only get them during happy hour for 5, which is still a splurge but a reasonable one. The prices are not commiserate with the value of the food outside of the mussels. Most of the menu is “good”, but not “great”. The Milanese is “fine”, but I’ll never get it again. I only order their chicken when I’m being a bum and don’t want to go further for more reasonable chicken - also it’s glorified pollo à la brasa for gringos (not unlike myself) for roughly 4x the price. I can tell they use quality ingredients and the food is consistent, but the flavor and originality to make this an iconic spot worth splurging on is just not there. For instance - they serve mainly east coast oysters on the half shell and they come with plenty of house made accouterments but they’re so unremarkable I ignore them for a squeeze of lemon. These oysters are beautifully shucked, I just feel like there was a lot of labor into details that falls flat and feels underwhelming. The natty wine selection is nice, but I can get an equivalent glass of natty wine for far less at INTL. the bottle shop up front does not offer many if any bottles under 50 for a casual weekend at home, once again, we’re looking at special occasion prices for a place without special occasion food (other than the mussels once again lol). I’d have much more fun picking something at bottle shop down the road. The level of service is commiserate with any other DH location which marks every checkbox like every other restaurant group. I can see picnic being a regular, weekly neighborhood spot for solid staples but only if their prices weren’t “special occasion” prices. The yuppies making 6+ figures will keep them afloat for now but as the economy continues to flounder, they need to be more realistic about what they’re charging.

This was one outstanding dining experience in every aspect! A very big shoutout to Dani for the very friendly, professional service and for assistance in selecting menu items. The restaurant was extremely clean and well organized. The ambience was very relaxing and made the visit comfortable. We arrived at happy hour and it was just fabulous. All of the food was fresh, seasonsed just right and so flavorful. Even the desserts were exceptional. I highly recommend dining here.

Extremely slow service . Our server was very nice but didn’t check in with us much. Food took a really long time and we watched people sat after us get food before us. Even the drinks took long. Manager was understanding. Saving grace was the food tasting great when it finally showed up, But it was a pretty poor first impression so I probably won’t be back.

Absolute crowd pleaser & wonderful experience! We hosted a Sunday brunch baby shower at Picnic's mezzanine and it was so lovely. The manager, Bayla, ensured the service was seamless from the moment of reservation inquiry. She was quick to respond, very hospitable with answering lots of questions from me. The venue is beautiful and all of the guests had a great time. The chicken was so good and the sauces... YES. The bread & butter - simple but SO good. The chocolate cake was wonderful as well. The only "downside" is the street parking - but just take uber so you can enjoy their fun wine list/cocktail offerings.

We’ve now been to picnic about a half dozen times. The drinks from the bar are delicious and fresh. Tonight I had a strawberry Negroni which was devine. My wife went with the picnic spritz that she called refreshing and authentic. For food - don’t skip the oysters - go with “birthday girls” they are super fresh with mild brine. We also had baked clams, the onion dip, anchovies with fresh bread and the house burger - all outstanding. Victoria, the GM runs a great gathering place that is top notch and staffed by lovely passionate about food people. And I can’t forget miracle Max who leads a great team. Thanks for another great meal.

10/10!! Everything was absolutely amazing. My boyfriend and I were visiting Philly for the weekend and we visited this place for lunch for our last proper meal before heading back home to NYC. The food was absolutely amazing. Like, words cannot describe how delicious everything was. We got the green salad, the porterhouse lamb, side of fries, and the chicken sliders which were completely out of this world. If it’s one thing you get from here, let it be those sliders. But the true reason I’m writing this review is because of the customer service. I’m not even kidding, our experience was days ago and I’m still thinking how nice EVERYONE was. The host, the GM, the food runner, some random server that came to check on us lol everyone was so kind and attentive. But Jenna, our server, won our hearts. She is such a star, a QUEEN. She was on top of everything and was so funny and kind. If you’re in the area this place is a must visit! And ask to sit in Jenna’s section!
