The location is just perfect. Room is pretty spacious and clean. Has all the amenities that I need. Very decent price for this location - would recommend staying here!

No full length mirrors in any of the rooms. No maintenance or emergency plans. Night staff from temp agency. Day staff under trained. Do not stay mansion side, haunted house elevator. I chose to stay in the older (mansion) part of the building. Room was decent, very worn rug and awkward TV location. I noticed a plunger in the bathroom which I thought was weird. I later found out after 9pm, it was there because there was an ongoing issue with the toilet. Called the front desk and was told they are not an employee but from a temp agency and there are no on site maintenance persons. She also revealed she did not have access to the system so she is unable to relocate me. She called the building emergency contact who informed her to give me a plunger. As a guest, I was expected to fix the issue, that they one they had prior to my arrival. She called him back and he agreed to changing my room, however I need to vibe to the lobby with all my things before I would receive entry to another room. No relocation assistance and very inconvenient.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights, and that's the most comfortable semi-extended stay you can get. It feels like an apartment with all the perks of a hotel service. Tons of storage in your room. You can cook here. You have your own dishwasher and a clothes washer! My favorite part was how absolutely quiet the fridge and AC were. I rarely can sleep without earplugs in a hotel, and here i did. Definitely would recommend and would stay here again. Clean, comfortable, modern, quiet, and you have everything you might need.

We stayed in room 3101 and did not experience a pleasant safe and peaceful environment as per Placemakr’s terms and conditions (clause 4.1.13)! There was a function on Saturday night and the noise from the function kept my husband and myself awake. It was after 10pm and the noise from the function was permeating our room. We had had no notice of this function except being told not to take the central stairs and no compensation for our accommodation being turned into a disco. We would certainly not have booked this accommodation if we had known that this is the way accommodation guests are treated.

I’ll start by saying that the location is amazing: right across the street from DuPont Circle and walking distance to a lot of sightseeing. And the building itself is nice although we didn’t check it out much. Everything else is a rip-off. We booked through Airbnb which showed pictures of a nice and bright room, but when we checked in we were put in a “C” room which means courtyard, aka basement. The rooms are done in the stereotypical HGTV way with the LVP floors, cheap cabinets, and clunky furniture. Our windows overlooked brick walls and garbage thrown down from the sidewalk above. The service is nearly non-existent, which is interesting because there are signs in the room saying to call/email/text anytime for help. At one point we needed more laundry detergent pods, so I texted and never got a reply. (The rooms don’t have phones.) So I called the number on the fridge and it was a non-working number. I found another number on Google and called that one, and the person at the front desk told me to come to the front desk get what I needed. Not the world’s biggest problem, but for a $1000+ stay you’d think housekeeping could just drop items at the room? The front desk was empty half the time and when someone was at it, their service was hit or miss. We were always able to walk right into the building at any time, but at one point when I was waiting in the lobby for food at night, a guest was trying to get in and couldn’t. I let the woman at the front desk know and she didn’t get up from the desk and yelled at the woman to punch in her code to open the door, which the woman had difficulty figuring out how to do. The woman at the desk then explained to me that it’s for security purposes that she can’t let people in, as if I was trying to call her out on not doing her job. Overall, I wish we would’ve requested a better room although I think it would’ve been the same as the one we had, just a better view.
