We went for the chefs tasting menu which was fantastic. The food was so good and the presentation matched the quality of the ingredients. The chef and sous really are masters of their craft. In addition to the food, the staff were also top tier. From the hostess to the waiters to the GM doing wine duties everyone knew what they were supposed to and made us feel so welcome. I highly recommend this place for a tasting menu and for just dinner as well.

The service was excellent and the ambiance inviting. It was a small space and a bit noisy. The music could have been dialed back slightly and the addition of sound dampening elements would have enhanced the overall experience. The cocktails were refined. We opted for the tasting menu with wine pairing. The wine pairing felt redundant. It was mostly white wine with less variation in flavor profiles than I was expecting. The amuse bouches were a great start. The egg salad atop a rice chip delivered a great crunch and flavor but was lacking a punch. The roe felt mild; I would have preferred something such as a pickled Fresno pepper to really bring in the acidity and punch. The arancini flavor was spot on; it was a bit large so it did eat a tad soft. The prawn dish with foam, chef’s kiss. The beef tartare was mesmerizing with the smoky element. The black garlic sauce was extremely salty, and could have been plated in much smaller portions. The white asparagus was divine. The fish course (red snapper) was incredible. It had a fishy aroma but it ate smooth and buttery without any of that fishy taste. I wouldn’t have minded a couple more fava beans and garbanzo beans. The meat course (lamb) was packed with flavor. My only complaint was the thickness of the fat cap. The outside was perfectly crisp but the unrendered fat below was less than desired; a thinner trim or more complete rendering would have completed the dish. The dessert (similar to pavlova) was the perfect combination of flavors and textures.

My husband and I celebrated our fourth anniversary at Quarter Acre this year and the experience was phenomenal! It's been on our list for many years so we were so glad to finally be able to try it and are already looking forward to coming back. It wasn't too busy on a Thursday night, so the hostess sat us at one of the circular 4-tops so we'd have a bit more room. We had perfect lighting coming in during golden hour for most of the meal, so the photos I snapped on my phone ended up turning out amazing. The whole experience was great from start to finish including all the staff and servers that stopped by to bring out and explain the dishes. We went with the full tasting menu since we were celebrating and it was a wonderful introduction to the restaurant's food. Our cocktails were great too; I really enjoyed my piña colada milk punch and my husband's cucumber highball & tarragon sour were both super refreshing. The tasting menu began with some light bites. The sourdough & fried oysters were delicious but we were most impressed by the panisse with trout roe: super light, not too greasy, crisp outside and creamy inside with some lovely brine from the roe. The second course may have been my favorite of the night -- the kingfish ceviche was a perfect balance of flavors and textures from the coconut foam to the gentle heat from the fresno peppers. I could've eaten a bucket of that on my own! Third course of smoked beef tartare really brought the wow factor with presentation and was equally tasty. White asparagus was just a tad oversauced for me, but the miso marmite was so good I almost didn't mind, and it went so well with the crab. Seared grouper was cooked perfectly, so flaky with just the right amount of crisp crust from the sear, and went super well with the various sauces included & the brightness from the pickled scallion. The meat course was definitely the best lamb I've had in recent memory: it actually tasted like lamb without any lingering gaminess and was wonderfully tender, perfectly medium rare, with crispy skin and wonderfully rendered fat. I enjoyed the peas three ways but loved the chanterelle mushrooms even more. Dessert was a lovely light finish and I quite enjoyed that it was visually similar to course 2! Coconut panna cotta, meringue batons, tart sorbet & kaffir lime caviar, more foam -- such playful flavors and textures! And we were stuffed by then but still loved the anzac biscuits and cherry cola marshmallows. So impressed by the flavor of the marshmallows in particular, it really captured cherry cola perfectly. Pacing wasn't too fast or too slow; we never felt rushed at all but were in and out within 1:45 which felt unheard of for such a well developed tasting menu. Now that we've been once we can't wait to return and try other things on the menu! Thanks to Chef Archibald and team for their hospitality and making our special night so wonderful.

5 star experience. Relatively small place, limited # of tables. Highly recommend reservations. Parking can be challenging but typical for places on Greenville. Staff was awesome. Informative but not pushy. For instance they offer some unique cocktails on the menu, but I just wanted a standard old fashioned, no problem. Food was as advertised, gourmet, presented well and tasted wonderful. There were 5 of us and we all enjoyed it. Looking forward to my next experience here

I’ll just say it… best dinner in Dallas. There, I said it. Chef’s from New Zealand, so the menu is eclectic in a way that actually works. Neutral-chic vibes, calm but cool. This place is begging to be a tapas spot and we basically treated it as one. Ceviche, Octopus, Smoked salmon - Actually witchcraft - the best salmon I’ve ever had. Did you hear me? Do you have any idea how much salmon I’ve eaten? #stlouispescatarianapproved Keep going… Leafy green salad, ricotta tomato spread! Everything devoured, nothing spared. Service was flawless. I would evangelize for this place. And the lolly bag. Warm my heart.
