Great food. Service is casual but big level. They take your order at the cashier then deliver to the table. Food is made fresh so it takes 15-20 minutes to arrive. You can get some pastries to enjoy while you’re waiting or get some to take home. A fun busy place to grab a bite!

Host is a total nightmare and discriminatory! We love the food here. We’ve been to République for brunch and have dined at Manzke before, so we know how good this restaurant can be. Today, the kitchen, bar, and our server were great. But the host at the front door, a Black lady, gave us such a horrible first impression that it set a really uncomfortable tone for our entire night. It felt like swallowing a fly right before a nice dinner. We walked in as a party of two without a reservation, which our brunch server earlier today told us we could do. The host immediately treated us with attitude. When she told us it was a $95 prix fixe menu, I politely told her I already knew because the brunch staff explained it to us. Instead of just letting us in, she snapped, cut me off, and said, "Let me finish this." She literally shoved the menu in my face and forced me to stand at the entrance and look at it, ignoring the fact that I already told her I knew the price. The group right before us was also a walk-in, but they just said "okay" and she sat them at the bar immediately. Why was I forced to stand at the door like a child and go through a repetitive drill? It got way worse when my partner walked in with our medical alert service dog. This lady started interrogating us. Even after we clearly stated the specific task our dog is trained to do, she arrogantly demanded we repeat ourselves and double-questioned us. This is not just rude, it is illegal under the ADA to cross-examine service dog handlers after they already gave you a legal answer. This felt like straight-up discrimination. I looked at other reviews later and noticed another guest explicitly mentioned that they were treated differently and poorly by this host simply because they had an accent. This host is super nice to some, but if you have an international accent or a different background, she treats you with pure attitude. Your kitchen and bar staff work so hard to make great food, but your front door is guarded by someone who power-trips and treats paying guests like an inconvenience. We came back because we love the food, but we left feeling degraded. Management needs to deal with this host immediately.

A little disappointing for a place with a Michelin star, especially since the restaurant itself is gorgeous. The line was long, but it moved pretty quickly. The guy serving the pastries was very nice, but unfortunately the servers at the tables were not very helpful. I ordered a latte that was way too strong for my taste. I asked for more milk, but one server completely ignored me, and I only got help after asking again. My friend’s food also arrived about 40 minutes after the rest of ours. When we asked about it, one server ignored us again, but thankfully another staff member stepped in and finally brought the plate out. I had the regular breakfast. The potatoes and bread were easily the highlight — both 10/10. I wasn’t a fan of how the bacon was served, and the eggs were just okay. The pastries were decent, but nothing particularly memorable. The standout item was definitely the tres leches cake — perfectly sweet and probably the best thing we tried.

While visiting Los Angeles, I had heard about this popular restaurant located in the mid-Wilshire area serving a variety of French inspired dishes and garnering high praises from visitors. I ordered the escargot, dover sole, salmon, prawns, fries and risotto. Although, some dishes were good the majority were disappointing and totally missed the mark. The Salmon was lukewarm and was sent back. The Prawns were without question the biggest disappointment. By far these were the smallest prawns I've ever had anywhere and for the price one would've truly expected more. Overall, the meal was good but not great. The service was poor and lacked structure, creating a chaotic and rushed atmosphere. Throughout my entire dining experience and other than the times of me personally calling over my server, he was inattentive, lacked personality and never made me feel welcomed. Although, it appeared the staff worked as a team it never seemed cohesive and what one might expect from an establishment of this caliber. The restaurant was crowded but I did see several staffers seemingly with little to do, which is why the lack of table service surprised me. Kudos, to the manager who did walk over and apologized for the salmon and provided me with a $50.00 gift card towards a future visit. This was very thoughtful and appreciated.

We had an absolutely fantastic brunch here. Is it busy? Yes. Was the line long? Yes. Was the food delicious? Yes!! Don't be put off by the line. The food here is worth it, and actually the line moves relatively quickly. For brunch, you order up front, get a number, go find a table, and they bring your food to you. Pastries are boxed when you order them, so you have those right away. They have a great selection, and every one we tried was yummy. Perfectly crisp puff pastry, balanced fillings...yum. I had the Crocque Madame, which is a hot sandwich with house-cured ham and gruyere cheese - mmmm - all melty and delicious. The waffles are a nice serving, and come with fresh berries. Lovely. Honestly, you cannot go wrong. The place is noisy and crowded for brunch, but I cannot wait to go back!
