I had a very frustrating experience with the Renaissance Baltimore Hotel and would strongly caution others to double-check their billing and reservation handling. The issue began when the front desk staff processed a charge before properly locating my booking. At the time, I was assured this was a simple error and that the charge would be refunded promptly once my reservation was identified. Unfortunately, that promise has not been kept. Despite providing full booking details and making repeated attempts to resolve the situation directly with the hotel, my reservation could not be located, and the refund has still not been issued. Communication has been poor, and there has been no meaningful follow-up or resolution from the staff. After exhausting all reasonable options, I was forced to escalate the matter through my bank. Even they are now encountering difficulty getting a response or clarification from the hotel. In summary: My booking could not be located despite multiple contacts and full information provided I was charged before my reservation was confirmed A refund was promised but never processed The lack of resolution has forced me to initiate a bank dispute This experience has been incredibly disappointing and stressful. I hope the hotel improves its customer service and internal processes to prevent this from happening to others.

The indoor pool was absolutely essential in the decision to book the hotel. It was not heated but did serve its purpose to entertain the kids every evening. Unfortunately, the hot tub was not functioning. The location is ideal for the many bus routes. Many of the elevators were broken for part of the stay but it was quickly fixed by the following day. The location of hotel was by many bus stops that could take one to John Hopkins main campus, Charles village, Fell point, etc. It was near a string of fast food places so that feeding the family was really easy, and for breakfast there was even a Dunkin donuts. It was located near the aquarium and a reasonable walking distance to the Science Museum and the Children's museum. Some of the nearby businesses included a Marshalls so anything we forgot we were able to easily purchase for a reasonable price. I would recommend this place for the location to public transit (some free) and some of the museums.

My stay at this hotel was absolutely amazing from start to finish! The customer service was top-tier with Ron who works at the front desk — the staff was welcoming, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile. Check-in was quick and seamless, and I immediately felt comfortable. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and very well maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and all the amenities exceeded my expectations. I truly appreciated the attention to detail — it made the entire experience feel luxurious and relaxing. The location was perfect, convenient to everything, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was peaceful and inviting. Whether you’re traveling for business or a quick getaway, this is definitely a place I would recommend. I will absolutely be returning. Five stars all the way!

Older hotel but very clean. & nice. Front desk was very helpful and friendly at check in even with the issue I had. Great location with plenty of food and shopping options within walking distance. Parking deck is located underneath hotel that provides easy access. Will tay here again next time I am in the area. Ate at hotel restaurant and the food was good.

Well.....the staff is not that friendly. It seems as if the guests are doing them a favor by being there. Absolutely not what I'd expect from a Marriott hotel. We had breakfast one morning and waited and waited to be acknowledged after being seated. I finally got up and found a manager who gave us free mimosas. The food on the breakfast buffet was cold and no one seemed interested in making sure there was hot food. We flew in from Florida to attend a concert and picked this hotel because it was close to CFG arena. If we ever come back to Baltimore, this hotel is not one we will stay at
