It was decent - not amazing. It was very cold and noisy in the restaurant. Our server, Walter was kind and attentive. Two of us shared the following for breakfast: - Gulf Shrimp Omelet w/ Grits and Buttermilk Biscuit - Side of Tater Tots - Side of Buttermilk Biscuit The coffee was a bit weak but it was hot. The cream was fresh. The omelet was really good. The tots were cooked crispy - just how we prefer. The buttermilk biscuit was disappointing. It looked great but was tough and chewy. I would return to the Ruby Slipper but I’d eat outside. Maybe have another omelet and the pancakes. The pancakes looked real good.

Breakfast Heaven! A "Must-Stop" Every Time I’m in NOLA Ruby Slipper is hands down my go-to spot whenever I’m in town. It is the perfect place to go when you aren't sure exactly what you want, because they have a dish for every possible craving! The servers are fantastic—they really know the menu inside and out. If you’re feeling indecisive, just talk to them; they are great at recommending the perfect dish to suit your mood or your taste buds. You honestly can't go wrong with anything on the menu. That being said, you HAVE to try the Shrimp and Grits. Words truly do not describe the "taste bud heaven" that is coming your way with that dish. It is perfectly seasoned, creamy, and easily some of the best in the city. I love this place. It’s consistent, friendly, and delicious. Make sure it's on your list for your next New Orleans trip!

I was in New Orleans for my birthday and had to go back to Ruby Slipper to get breakfast. I got the fried green tomatoes and beignets on the house for my birthday. The shrimp and grits are good but the benny’s are why I go back. They are delicious especially if you get the trio. I went to two different locations while I was there. Decatur street and Canal. The only major suggestion is to always make a reservation because it’s popular and people love to go there!

Ruby Slipper is a FANTASTIC brunch spot! Great location close to the French Quarter, food was unbelievably delicious, and amazing service. Jaraud was an attentive server who brought our food out fast and even offered me a Diet Coke to go when we were leaving. Definitely come here!

Great brunch spot! Would recommend! I had the vanilla spiced latte and the shrimp and grits. The latte was delicious and creamy, with the perfect sweetness and spice. The shrimp was amazing, so flavourful and super filling, and they were generous with the shrimp! It came with a biscuit that was fluffy and perfectly baked, and this fantastic butter, smooth, creamy, and a hint of sweetness. Whatever you order, make sure to get a biscuit too! The service was good too, they sat me at the bar and has this cute French cartoon playing at a low volume on the tv. There were a few people around chatting, it was a super chill solo brunch, the perfect start to my day. All in, it was $30
