Everything was so fresh & delicious but especially the strawberry shortcake and bananas foster were the highlights!! We didn’t get our servers name but he was so amazing and sweet to us this early morning :)) he was super considerate & the attention to detail in noticing extra plates & such — as well as the kitchen mentioning the onion ring on our burger was small so they gave us an extra onion ring; as well as the hostess — she was so sweet & efficient. We would highly recommend reserving a spot especially on Saturday brunch— we enjoyed our time here!

Absolutely delicious! The service was friendly and we only had a ~20 minute wait on a Saturday early afternoon which was better than we anticipated. It’s an open concept so be prepared for noise, they also have external seating available on a covered patio. Our whole table enjoyed the food tremendously! We shared the catfish, breakfast potatoes, chicken and waffles, and huevos rancheros. I appreciated the menu was well notated with allergens and available substitutions. I can’t wait to go back and try more! It was well worth the drive down from Tacoma.

Went on a Sunday morning around 10am. Parking was alright, we were able to find a spot on the street just around the corner. There wasn’t too much of a wait for a party of two, maybe five minutes or so. Food was delicious, I really like that you can get half portions of the entrees. The pork shoulder eggs Benedict was very good, the breakfast potatoes were fantastic. My friend got the shrimp and grits and really enjoyed it. Service was friendly and prompt. The only thing that I did not love, was the noise. It was so overwhelmingly loud so if you get overstimulated by loud restaurants, I would avoid going on the weekends. Otherwise would defintely recommend!

Fried Chicken Dinner is very good. Chicken waffle and chicken sandwich are also good. The price is on the higher side but the portion size justifies it. One downside is that they don’t have vegan options. They have veggies options that come with cheese but you can ask to make it vegan. However, the portion size for the vegan option is so small as you can see in the photo.

I hadn’t been to the Screen Door in years and my guy had never been so on a whim we decided to visit. Service was outstanding…our server was attentive and informative and took excellent care of us. The restaurant seems well staffed and everyone working that we encountered was friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing…he had chicken and dumplings (so good) and I created my own combination…chicken tenders, chicory salad and red beans and rice. Everything was well prepared and delicious…I haven’t had red beans and rice that good since I lived in Florida. It’s wonderful that this iconic spot is still thriving…we will be back!
