We were able to snag a table during their early opening for the holiday/race weekend. We arrived 15 minutes early and were seated immediately. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and delightful. My husband has a gluten allergy. Two of the items we wanted to order had gluten in them. So they altered them so we could still have them with our meal. All the food was hot and excellent. It was an amazing experience and we will be back again.

My first time here today. Very satisfying flavors. This place is A LOT bigger than it looks from the outside!! There are multiple areas for dining upstairs and downstairs. IF you like strong horseradish please don't miss out on the shrimp cocktail... epic sauce right there. Delivered for each guest prior to the mean...St Elmo 1902 original recipe Navy Bean soup with bits of ham irresistible to the last bite (filling for me). Our table shared the Tomahawk and Prime Rib. It was more than enough for 5 people. Every side we ordered was bursting with flavor: Lobster mac, brussel sprouts, creamed corn, mushroom, french fries allll goood stuff. You may not have room in your belly for dessert, but I do recommend ordering the Madagascar Vanilla Bean small batch ice cream and/or cheesecake for the table to share! We will be going back during the Indy 500 weekend!! Cheers

St. Elmo was deceptively big, and it was hard for me to gauge its size from outside. It’s quite substantial, and each dining room seems to exude its own character. The staff was very professional and personable, and I was extremely happy with the service I received. I ended up splurging and getting the shrimp cocktail and a dry aged ribeye. The shrimp cocktail is famous for a good reason, and the cocktail sauce has a large quantity of horseradish. So long as you don’t exhale through your nose, it’s quite pleasant and very tasty. It’s an addictive dish. The ribeye came with some bean soup and mashed potatoes, and it all tasted great. It was a delicious steak, although I wonder if I’m really able to appreciate what the dry aging does. Maybe someday I’ll get to go back and compare it against their regular ribeye? Either way, the food and service were top notch, and it’s well worth making a reservation for a nice night out.

This is a great old-school steak house. The service is amazing. Each tux-clad server has very few tables. It has an amazing wine list. Everything I had was at the top of the scale of every where else I had the same item. Even the iced tea had a special flavor. I had the prime rib. It was beautifully trimmed and cooked to perfection. I had to try their "world famous" shrimp cocktail. It is "clear your sunuses" hot with grated horseradish. I happened to like it, as did two others in our party. It v was too much heat for one in our group. This place is one that needs to be experienced if you go to Indianapolis.

Phenomenal experience and amazing food. We went in the evening and had a great time. The service was fast and attentive. The shrimp is CRAZY HOT, but very tasty. I had the best filet mignon of my life. I was hoping for an equally tasty baked potato loaded, but it wasn’t anything tremendously special, even though it was tasty. The menu is limited, but it is all you need. They also apparently have one of the best stocked wine cellars in the state. I highly recommend this place if you want to impress someone. Five stars!
