Hotel has cockroaches. When brought up to the manager all that was said was sorry, seemed to be a known issue. Stayed multiple times for work but will never stay again.

I travel a lot for work and stay at a lot of hotels. This one was pretty decent overall. Much more so than others in the area but it’s overpriced. It seems to have a bad reputation as far as being in a bad or “dangerous” area. After asking around, it’s because a clerk at the convenience store next door was murdered during a robbery but I never saw any type of criminal element in the area during my stay. The staff were great, the hotel was decent and clean and the breakfast was good. They just need to work on lowering their rate for us working folks.

Update on my review: Stayed again 2 years later. The employees continue to excel in professionalism and kindness. This time however, I did not get good sleep. The mattress was very thin and dented already from being used to much. And the shower could have been cleaned better. The toilet water would not stop running. I am not sure if we just got a bad room? But the hotel overall is very clean. If you are looking for a budget option, knowing that there will be some compromise, then this is your place to go. Stay 2 yrs ago: The rooms in this hotel are exceptionally clean. This hotel is the tidiest Surestay/Best Western hotel my family and I have ever stayed in. We stayed with points last night which made our stay that much more enjoyable. Check in was fast, and breakfast was great. They have waffles, bacon, sausage, bagels, yogurt, cereal, fruit, coffee, tea, juices, and pasties. During breakfast I noticed they have a server checking the availability of the food constantly which is amazing. You don’t have to ever ask for anything. I have never seen that in any other best western hotel before. The hospitality staff is so kind at this hotel. The location is gated and the hotel does have security cameras. They are also very reasonably priced, We have booked a 5 day stay for Christmas as well.

Really enjoyed our stay, no issues during the 3 day stay, I liked that it was easy access to high way, free parking, parking lot is very well lit, the gas station next door has everything you can think of. At night they lock the front doors only way into the building Is with a room key really put ease of mind there. When we arrived there was a school bus with a bunch of kids we were worried it might be noisy but no issues with noise even with highway right there, I know some mentioned that it was too much noise because of that but we sleep with the TV very low volume and the AC on so personally it didn't bother us. Hotel room was clean there was a mini fridge and microwave in the room ice machine on floor and laundry room on second floor. If I do have to point anything out is that the bed it was a bit too stiff and room got a bit too humid on our last night. Other than that if we ever fly into Houston and need a place to stay we will consider this place again.
