We ate at Tableau during our trip to New Orleans and had a great experience. The Blue Crab Fondue was an excellent starter, and the Andouille-Crusted Gulf Fish was one of the best meals I had on the trip. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the crabmeat topping and sauces added a lot of flavor without overpowering the seafood. We also tried the Tarte à la Bouillie for dessert, and it was fantastic. Honestly, everything we ordered was very good and tasted like it was made with quality ingredients. The service was attentive throughout the meal, and our server, Ruby, did a great job taking care of us. She was friendly, professional, and helped make the experience even more enjoyable without ever making us feel rushed. She also told us that Tableau updates its menu about every four months, and we happened to visit on the first night of the new menu. The dishes we ordered were some of their classics that typically remain on the menu, which was nice to hear after enjoying them so much. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and a great location overlooking Jackson Square. There are a lot of places to eat in the French Quarter, but Tableau was definitely one of the better meals we had while visiting New Orleans. I'd happily eat here again.

A nice escape from the evening chaos of the French quarter!! This restaurant was huge with multiple dining rooms, but we opted to sit on the patio overlooking the streets. The backdrop and scenery was so pretty. The food will speak for itself. My group collectively agreed it was the best meal we have had in a long time!

First of many, First hurricane- gorgeous delicious and it doesn't sneak up, it lip smacks at first sip. First duck and andouille gumbo. Add Crystal hotsauce and lip smacking soul satisfying soup, sorry, gumbo. But the best brie style artichoke dip we ever ate. Also ,another first, fried oysters in a thich, rich sauce soaked ina crusty bread, mmmmm hmmmm momma, its good.

We had such a wonderful dinner at Tableau in New Orleans! My husband, our two sons, and I made reservations and were lucky enough to be seated on the balcony with beautiful views of the city and the energy of the French Quarter below. It was the perfect setting for a memorable family dinner. Our server, Jay, was absolutely fabulous. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right throughout the evening. Service like that really makes a dining experience stand out. The food was fantastic from start to finish—beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Between the amazing meal, the atmosphere, and the outstanding service, it was truly one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend if you’re visiting New Orleans and want great food with an unforgettable balcony view!

We chose this restaurant to celebrate a special moment together, as it appeared to be a fancy, upscale, and high-end place. The atmosphere and presentation suggested a premium dining experience, and because it was a celebration, we were happy to order some of the more expensive items on the menu. Unfortunately, our overall experience was quite disappointing. For our main courses, we ordered the chicken dish and the lamb. Neither of us enjoyed them at all. We are true food lovers and very open to different cuisines and flavors, and we are definitely not picky eaters. That said, the taste of the chicken was especially surprising—in a negative way. Chicken is usually a very “safe” option that works well almost anywhere, but the flavor profile here simply did not suit our palate at all. The lamb was similarly underwhelming and did not meet our expectations in terms of taste or balance. Before the main courses, we also ordered a duck gumbo, Unfortunately, that dish was also not enjoyable for us, and it set a tone that did not improve as the meal continued. While the restaurant has an elegant vibe and clearly aims for a refined dining experience, the flavors just did not align with our preferences at all. Sadly, despite our excitement and the premium pricing, this place did not deliver for us, and we would not personally recommend it based on our experience.
