Old factory turned hip, rustic-chic place for refined New American fare with a farm-to-table bent.

The Uber took us away from the city and into a cozy neighborhood. We arrived a few minutes early and witnessed the farm being delivered to the table. The lady in the truck made several trips of baked items and produce to the kitchen. It was a little too warm for us to sit outside so we were seated inside the rustic building that was clean and well appointed. Our server was gracious and knew every dish. A home made blueberry pop tart, a soft shell crab eggs Benedict, a fried oyster, egg and cheese skillet, great coffee, at the end of our vacation it may have been the best meal we had in Baltimore.

Tavern at Woodberry Kitchen in Baltimore had a really cool atmosphere with its rustic old-factory setting. The space felt stylish but still comfortable, and it made the meal feel different from a typical restaurant night out. The food tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared, with a nice farm-to-table feel that stood out. Service was friendly, and I liked that the menu had creative American dishes without feeling too overdone. It’s a great spot for a relaxed dinner, a date night, or when you want something with a little more character.

Stunning location and friendly service. I would say I had a good time despite the food though. I came for brunch today and ordered a menu item described as pork belly, fried oysters, and farm egg. Sounded good, I love all that stuff. Turns out it was actually a frittata with those ingredients inside. The only issue being the word “frittata” or anything describing a baked egg dish was not described on the menu at all. But hey, no worries, I try the dish. The egg was very dry and overcooked. The fried oysters in the egg made the whole dish taste fishy. I had lots of leftovers and chose not to take them home (on a $23 brunch entree). Overall had a good time, but the food was disappointing and I do not feel like I got good value out of what I paid for this meal. Again, ambiance and service were awesome, but perhaps temper expectations regarding the food.

Woodberry Kitchen is such an incredible experience! The food here is always incredible and I’ve come many times for personal reservations at the tavern and as a wedding photographer for micro weddings in their gathering space! The team has always been kind and helpful and incredible to work with. How cool is it that you could have a unique and beautiful wedding here and then get to come back for all your future celebrations at the Tavern? It is one of my favorite venues in Baltimore to photographer for both smaller micro weddings and larger traditional weddings and it’s filled with the industrial Baltimore charm! Whether it’s for brunch, an intimate dinner, or your big day, you can’t go wrong celebrating at Woodberry!

I haven't been here in many years. Actually, the last time I was here was pre covid and the restaurant was much larger than it is now. My wife and I went for brunch and the food was fantastic. We will definitely be going back. You might want to make reservations before you go. We were there at 1:00 on a Sunday afternoon with reservations in the place was filled.
