if you’re reading reviews bc you’re unsure about this place but like it’s prices, just go for it! unless…you’re extremely picky or expecting a 5 star experience. if you’re realistic going in and do your research, you’ll enjoy your stay. i knew prior that this was a comedy club and could get nosey. i do not mind noise. i knew the AC was “outdated” to some, but i love that kind of AC, the air is always so crisp & i’ve never had an issues with it here. People complain about the elevator, but i love the elevator! it’s old school, so yes you have to actually open the doors yourself. the elevator is a cute background for photos too! But anyways, this was my second stay here, i loved & enjoyed it even more this time. for starters, i accidentally booked the wrong dates and they were accommodating and worked with me on updating the dates. i love the feel and aesthetic of the hotel. the staff is friendly and welcoming. roughly a 10 minute walk to the metro, close to plenty of stores and restaurants. parking in the front is free at a select time, outside of that, it is pretty affordable. i suggest using spothero to find affordable & close parking. if you cannot stand noise, this is not the place for you, i cannot stress that enough. however, i do not mind it at all. sometimes it can get a little loud downstairs due to the shows but it was never a problem for me. this is the most affordable & perfect place to rest your head while in DC. the only suggestion i’d make is mini fridges! outside of that, i have no complaints and have enjoyed my stay every time.

I had a pleasant stay at the Baron hotel. The location was excellent with easy access to many attractions , restaurants and public transportation in Washington dc. The staff were professional and always willing to help. The room was clean, comfortable and provided everything needed for a relaxing stay. The hotel offers good value for money. I would, gladly stay here again.

My first time at the Baron will not be the last! If you are looking for a clean and safe place to sleep while enjoying time in DC, then this is perfect. Yes the hotel is old and the rooms are small. But it was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. I will absolutely be back!

Rooms are basic but clean, staff do what they can with what they have, and the location is great for getting to work. (I'm commuting to DC for 5 months, W-F.) For the next week, my daughter woke up sick at 4:30 am and I had to cancel. Most hotels charge you for that night and refund the next one. I called 3 times, on two listed numbers that were both out of order, and messaged the hotel through the app. No response, and they charged me for both nights.

The location of this hotel is fantastic - at least, in part. It’s close to DuPont Circle, in an area that felt safe and clean (albeit expensive). However, there is a bar/comedy club in the basement so just be aware of that. The main issue, for me, was that the rooms are really pretty bad. I did check the beds for bedbugs when I got there, as I had read another review that complained about this. I didn’t find anything. The linens were clean and smelled good. But the room itself desperately needed renovation. I did have to kill some sort of bug that was climbing on the wall. With that being said - I understand it’s a cheaper hotel. What really sealed the deal for me is that the WiFi is awful. I could not work and had to relocate. Overall - if you’re on a tight budget, I would recommend it. However, if you can stretch the wallet a bit more I would suggest trying to find something nicer that’s a bit further out and just use the metro. Or find an AirBnB, possibly.
